Demand for accessible outdoor recreation is growing — and corporate partners make it possible.

In 2026, Adaptable Outdoors will continue delivering adaptive hiking, paddling, and fishing programs for people living with disabilities and their caregivers across southern Alberta.

Corporate sponsorships directly support these programs while providing meaningful recognition and community visibility for your business. Sponsor a specific program, become a matching donor, or support our work through a general corporate sponsorship.

For a limited time, we’re also offering a special recognition opportunity tied to our program truck — an essential part of how we safely transport staff and adaptive equipment to our programs across the region.

The first three businesses to commit to a $5,000+ sponsorship before March 1 will receive:
✔ Company logo on our program truck (limit of 3 sponsors)
✔ Special recognition in social media, newsletters & the 2026 Annual Report

Huge thanks to Pass Powderkeg Ski Area and Charmed for choosing us to donate proceeds from Saturday Night Skiing this Saturday, January 24! We're grateful to be chosen and for the support in continuing to make the outdoors accessible to all!

Skiers and riders are encouraged to dress up as their favourite storybook character during twilight ticket sales this Saturday!

Thanks to you, about $1000 has been raised so far this season for local organizations through our Saturday Night Skiing sponsorship events!

-Nearly $400 was donated Dec. 27 during Boarderline Skateshop's sponsored night in support of the PPK Ski Society
-Just over $600 was raised Jan. 10 during Crowsnest Connect's evening supporting the Crowsnest Pass SPCA

Our next sponsored night is THIS SATURDAY thanks to Charmed , with proceeds going to Adaptable Outdoors !

In November, Steve and Sara travelled to Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, to visit our close friends from the Fakulta Tělesné Kultury (Faculty of Physical Culture) and participate in International Teaching Week! We’re grateful to have established a strong, collaborative relationship with the university over the years! The Faculty offers Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral study programs in sports, physical activity, active lifestyle, and human motion & health.  Each summer, students from the FTK department join Adaptable Outdoors as interns for our adaptive programming season.

Throughout the week, Steve and Sara were deeply impressed by the university, the FTK department staff and students, and the event itself. The level of engagement, curiosity, professionalism, and openness was inspiring! It was clear that FTK is a place where learning, creativity, and human connection are genuinely nurtured, and it was an honour to be part of that environment, even in a small way and for a short time.

There are so many to thank: Palacký University, all staff and students from the FTK department, and other lecturers who brought insightful and enlightening discussions from across Europe. We want to extend a special thank-you to Marketa Kudlačková and Michal Kudláček, who were incredible hosts and event organizers and are responsible for our partnership.

Your dedication, compassion, and behind-the-scenes efforts make our adaptive adventures possible—from helping with booking and preparation, to transportation, encouragement, and personal care. Thank you for trusting us, for gently encouraging new experiences, and for sharing your time and energy so others can enjoy safe, meaningful, and fun outdoor programs. We are deeply grateful for every family member, care worker, volunteer, and support staff member who joined us this year. Your impact reaches far beyond what we see, and we truly couldn’t do this without you!

On Tuesday, December 2nd, we’re joining the global movement of Giving Tuesday — a day where people come together to support causes that matter.

At Adaptable Outdoors, we believe outdoor recreation and nature should be accessible to people of all abilities, and your donations help more people with disabilities access adaptive paddling, hiking, fishing, and outdoor adventures.

For many of our participants, nature isn’t easily accessible. However, with the right equipment, trained volunteers, and community support, the outdoors becomes a welcoming, empowering, and life-changing experience.

Your support helps us create adventures that welcome and engage individuals with disabilities.

We would like to say a huge thanks to our amazing 2025 student interns, Betty and Vendy, for all their hard work and dedication over the summer!

They braved the rain and the wind and never complained while delivering some incredibly impactful outdoor experiences, to our clients and their families.

This incredible international partnership between Adaptable Outdoors & Fakulta tělesné kultury Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci has resulted in our organization being able to help more people and deliver more experiences to our clients, which we are very grateful for!
