All My Relations recognizes our interconnection to each other, and is a prayer of oneness and harmony with all forms of life. I believe the below writing by author Richard Wagamese beautifully describes what the expression All My Relations means.

"From our deck the world reveals itself slowly detail by detail these summer mornings when morning becomes the ultimate painter. There's a sublime elegance to the way things come together. Light chases shadow into recess and what emerges stands stock still in the slow spill of sunlight as though surprised at its properties and definition. To be here as morning breaks is to feel unity. It's to feel connected to everything around you and to absorb it, bring it into the very fiber your being, like learning to breathe all over again. It's to come to understand that you are alive because everything else is. It is to comprehend what your people mean when they say "All my relations." It means everything. It's not uttered in a casual way nor is it meant to be. In its solemnity it is meant as a benediction, a blessing and a call to this unity you feel all around you in the depth of morning. This phrase, this articulation of spirit, is a clarion call to consciousness. It means that you recognize everything as alive and elemental to your being. There is nothing that matters less than anything else. By virtue of its being, all things are vital, necessary and a part of the grand whole, because unity cannot exist where exclusion is allowed to happen. This is the great teaching of this statement. "All my relations," means all. When a speaker makes this statement it's meant as recognition of the principles of harmony, unity and equality. It's a way of saying that you recognize your place in the universe and that you recognize the place of others and of other things in the realm of the real and the living. In that it is a powerful evocation of truth. Because when you say those words you mean everything that you are kin to. Not just those people who look like you, talk like you, act like you, sing, dance, celebrate, worship or pray like you. You also mean everything that relies on air, water, sunlight and the power of the Earth and the universe itself for sustenance and perpetuation. It's recognition of the fact that we are all one body moving through time and space together. To say these words is to offer a doorway to that understanding to those who hear you. It's to proclaim in one sentence that this experience of living is a process of coming together and that it was always meant to be. When you offer that doorway, you offer the most sublime truth. You offer the essential teaching. Your people say these words as an act of ceremony and here in this majestic light of morning you feel that ritual glow within you like an ember from a fire. All things connected. All things related. All things grown equally out of the one single act of Creation that spawned us. This is what you feel and this is what you mean. You come to realize too, that if we could all glean the power of this one short statement, we could change the world. We could evoke brotherhood and sisterhood. We could remind ourselves and each other that we need each other, that there is not a single life that is not important to the whole or a single thing that is not worth protecting and honoring. Here in the splendid light of morning you come to this truth again and seek to breathe it into you, to become it even for a fraction of a second. Truth requires only an instant from which to grow."

Journey well in the Spirit world Richard. My condolences to his loved ones for his recent passing.

Wishing our winged relatives safe travels! 🍂

We have a couple more active nights for the beginning of the fall migration. The radar was full of birds last night and that will likely happen again tonight as winds are coming from the north. The peak of the fall migration is in September. You can help by turning off outdoor lights and reducing light pollution.

"The Spirit Animal Oracle is a Canadian made deck which features a host of beautiful animal and nature guides and their medicine. It is a tool to connect you to something bigger and more primal than your thinking mind; that something bigger and more primal? It is often your very own intuition; your own animal instinct.
These Guides, This Medicine, This land.
Both southern Alberta and southeastern British Columbia; where this deck was created, it is important to acknowledge and pay tribute to the traditional territories and oral practices of the Blackfoot Nations, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai, the Tsuut'ina and Stoney Nakoda First Nations, and the Métis Nation (Region 3) of southern Alberta, as well as the Ktunaxa Nation of southeastern British Columbia; the first people of this land."

“nîtisânak, listen closely, for these are strange and heavy days across the lands we now call Canada.

In the east, in places like Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, the governments have placed strong hands over the forest gates. They say the air is too dry, the earth too thirsty, the fire too quick to wake. From August until mid-October — and perhaps beyond — they have closed the trails, the camps, even the quiet fishing spots. They warn of fines as high as $25,000 for those who step where the trees still stand.

I will tell you, I know fire. I have seen it run like a wild horse, devouring the hills. We, the First Peoples, have always respected the danger and the medicine of fire. We knew how to tend it, to clear the dry brush, to burn small so that the land might live long. But this — this blanket ban without distinction between those who wander for fun and those who go to gather medicine, to pray, or to visit the graves of our ancestors — this feels like another wall between us and the land that has always been our relative.

Tourism people speak of their losses — the empty lodges, the cancelled tours. Their pain is real, for they too depend on the land. But our pain is older. When the forest is closed, it is not only an economy that suffers — it is a way of life. The medicines go unharvested. The sacred sites sit alone. Our youth, already hungry for connection, lose another path back to their teachings.

And yet, I understand the fear. This summer has been hotter, drier, more brittle than many remember. The winds carry the scent of smoke more often now. The seasons are changing in ways that our grandparents warned us about when they spoke of a warming world. In their language, they did not say “climate change” — they spoke of the land shifting because the people had shifted away from respect.

What is missing here, my relatives, is balance. These governments reach for the biggest tool — a ban — instead of walking with us to find the wiser path. What if we brought back Indigenous firekeepers? What if we used controlled burns, firebreaks, and community watch over the land? What if, instead of locking the forest, we tended it together, as was done for thousands of years?

These are not just laws about recreation. They are about the relationship between people and the land. If we treat the land only as a danger to be closed off, we forget that it is also our teacher, our healer, and our ancestor.

So I say this: protect the land, yes. Protect life, yes. But do not forget that our freedom to walk the earth is also sacred. If we are to face the fires of this new age, we must do it with the old wisdom — together, not apart.

So well said:

“Deep down we know it’s true. This isn’t just about cell towers, or vaccines, or Epstein, or Roundup or greedy corporations or bad science. They’ve pulled us so far from the rhythms of the Earth that we’ve forgotten we ARE the Earth.

But here’s what I know. We’re not helpless. Not even close. The moment we remember that we’re made of sunlight and soil and sound and cycles, we start to turn the tide. We don’t have to burn it all down to fight back. We start by coming home to our body. To the Earth. To the ancient ways that never needed a charger or a software update.

Start your mornings outside. Get your bare feet on the ground even if it's just for five minutes. Let the sunlight hit your naked eyes before you ever look at a screen. That morning light is medicine. It tells your body it's safe. It sets your hormones right. It feeds your mitochondria and clears your head.

Want to know how we can fight back?

Turn off your Wi-Fi at night. Unplug the smart junk. You don't need your fridge talking to the internet. You don’t need Bluetooth in your pillow. You need quiet. You need dark. You need stillness when you sleep. That’s when your body does its holy repair work. Let it. Give it the chance.

Eat real food. Wild if you can. Simple. Unprocessed. Foods that don’t come with labels or barcodes. That aren't grown with glyphosate and haven't been tampered with, genetically. Drink clean water, not the stuff in plastic bottles, or coming from your tap. Get a filter if you need to. You are water, and your water is killing you, numbing you, making you sick.

Throw away your Tide. Your Crest. The air fresheners. The fabric softeners. The chemical soaps, shampoos, lotions, cleaners. They are toxic. They poison your body every single day. Your skin is your largest organ. It drinks in whatever you put on it. If it’s poison, and most of it is, it’s poisoning you.

Fast sometimes. It gives your system the rest it’s been begging for. Let the body burn through the gunk they’ve piled on us... and that we have willingly consumed. Fasting is how we empty out what doesn’t belong and make space for light to come in.

Build your house like a sanctuary. Use wood and stone and cotton and plants. Bring back incandescent bulbs. And candles. Wrap yourself in the things that breathe, like wool, cotton, silk, linen, h**p, and leather, and that don’t buzz and disrupt your electromagnetic field, like nylon, rayon, polyester and the other plastics do

Play music. In 432. Sing. Out of tune is fine. Hum. It resets your vagal nerve and calms you down.

Dance barefoot on the kitchen floor... Or better yet, barefoot in the grass!

These are not silly things. They’re how we recalibrate the field. Your field. The collective field.

Talk to your neighbors. Teach your kids. Share what you know with gentleness, not fear. The fear is theirs. They want us divided and panicked. But when we speak with love and clarity and calm, it cuts through the fog like a tuning fork. Be that tuning fork.

And don’t forget to laugh and cry and pray and rest. And look around and be grateful for all of the things you've taken for granted. All of it heals. All of it builds your frequency. When you’re in coherence, your body becomes a signal they can’t jam. Your cells remember how to sing. It's biology, man! It's physics! That’s REAL power.

Yeah. They’ve rigged the game. But we don’t have to play. We make our own game now. One rooted in Earth, the earth's food, light, breath, rhythm, love, and truth.

And the best part? It’s already inside us! It's already around us. Our mother is waiting with open arms, ready to support us, to provide for us. She is yearning to connect. She welcomes the prodigal son home.

Let’s walk it together, barefoot and fierce. Let's plant gardens and share our harvest. Its time for you, for me, to remember our power. It's time to step into our roles as creators. It's time for us to turn on our light. As I learned by living in the south for a lot of years, when I flipped the on shed light, the roaches would scatter! Darkness has no safety in light.

We came here for this time, beautiful souls.

Stand up.

Unite.

And, most of all...

Turn on your light and

LOVE!

Welcome to our New Earth! It's ours to create!”
