Our office is located in the Bayview Glen plaza, beside Pearle Vision, near High Tech Road (Bayview Avenue and Highway 7). Our practice is committed to providing the highest standard of eye health care with an emphasis on disease prevention and patient education. We routinely dilate our patients to detect and manage various ocular conditions, such as red eyes, diabetes, macular
degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma and other ocular emergencies. We offer eye care services for patients of all ages. Children (19 and under), seniors (65 and over) and diabetics are encouraged to have
yearly eye examinations and are eligible through OHIP annually. We are able to provide thorough eye examinations in English and Cantonese.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Esta Wong to our team at Bayview Glen Optometrists!

Dr. Esta Wong received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry. During her internships, she gained valuable experience that focused on primary care, contact lenses, ocular disease and surgical co-management within various clinical settings. She is dedicated to providing the highest level of eye care to all her patients. Dr. Wong is excited to be part of the Richmond Hill community and welcomes patients of all ages.

During the lockdown, remember to exercise visual hygiene when online learning and even working from home. We recommend using the 20/20/20 rule. Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 to seconds!

Due to coronavirus lockdowns, less time outdoors and more time on screens is leading to significantly more people suffering from myopia, especially children.

October is Children's vision month! Book your child's eye exam today! Also, the ESEL program for children born in 2015 has been extended to December 31, 2020. For children born in 2016, the program runs until June 30, 2021. This program provides a free pair of glasses thru Plastic Plus and Modern Optical Canada for children born in those years. COVID-19 Update:

The doctors and staff at Bayview Glen Optometrists appreciate your continued support and understanding!

As we resume our routine eye care services, we want to assure you that we have everyone's health and safety in mind. Below is some additional information on the enhanced public health measures we will be undertaking for you to read as you consider your next visit.

1) We will be implementing enhanced infection control protocols.
2) All patients and customers in the optical must wear a mask at all times.
3) Patients and optical customers will be seen by appointment only due being able to maintain social distancing restrictions. Walk-ins and patients who require a copy of their prescription or have any questions will not be allowed in the office, and should call 905-747-0070 or email us at bayviewglenoptometrists@gmail.com to communicate with us.
4) Also, due to social distancing restrictions, those with urgent/emergency eye care needs, please call or email us and we will try to accommodate you if possible. Otherwise, please seek care at the ER or urgent care clinic first.
5) Please listen carefully to the instructions given by our staff when you book an appointment, when they call you to remind you of your appointment and when you arrive for your appointment!

The doctors and staff at Bayview Glen Optometrists are excited to announce that we are re-opening on Sunday, June 7th for a gradual return to routine exams! We thank you all in advance for your patience and understanding as we begin to reschedule patients that have had to have their exams cancelled due to COVID-19 - rest be assured, we will get to everyone who wants to have their eyes examined!

As we continue to prepare for re-opening, we'd like all our patients to know that we have everyone's health and safety in mind. In the meantime, we'd like to bring to your attention the enhanced public health measures we will be undertaking:

Due to recommendations from the College of Optometrists and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, all routine eye care hours will be suspended until further notice. Urgent cases will continue to be seen by appointment only.
