Whether you have specific concerns about your child’s learning or you’d like to better understand how you may support their educational journey, a psychoeducational assessment may be a great option for you.

Through a psychoeducational assessment, our Registered Psychologist helps you understand where your child is at and offers assistance beyond what teachers in a regular classroom can provide. They can also clarify a child’s strengths, diagnose learning or attention issues, and provide concrete recommendations for school and home.

We’re currently offering complimentary 30-minute consultations for psychoeducational assessments for parents (children will be included in follow-up appointments) with mental health team member and Registered Psychologist, Morganne Stubbs. Psychoeducational assessments are currently for children aged 6 to 16.

We spotted a couple of patches of yellow leaves 🍂 on a few trees this week — what a way for nature to remind us that fall is just around the corner.

For many, fall is associated with increased busyness in the schedule. The kids are back at school, and everyone at work is back and seems ready to drive on full steam ahead (if we can mix metaphors). For others, fall might represent a fitting time for a reset or a restart — a "mid-year January," if you will — a time when we feel ready to start fresh in our health and wellness journey.

Whatever the fall might bring your way, PIH and Synapse are ready to support you in your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Many of our allied health practitioners at both clinics are accepting new patients this fall.
