A recovery community focused on peer-mentoring, staff with lived experience, and social engagement.
Jericho Road is a community of people that strive to move from addiction to connection through shared experience, strength and hope. We provide recovery programs and support with our men's residential program, community support groups, and addiction education forums and workshops.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Soaptone Pros, The Drywall Pros, and Southeast City Church for their incredible support of our annual charity auction! Their generosity and partnership make it possible for us to have our best auction yet! Don't forget to visit the website to get your tickets.
We’re so grateful to CHRI Radio for being a proud supporter of our annual charity auction! Christian Hit Radio Inc. is a daily source of uplifting music and media, bringing hope to Ottawa, Pembroke, Cornwall, Montreal, and surrounding areas. Their partnership means so much to us and plays a vital role in helping Jericho Road continue our mission of bringing hope, healing, and lasting change to men overcoming addiction.
Being alone and being lonely aren’t the same thing. Alone can be a choice. Loneliness is the ache that reminds you that connection is missing.
Some men who come to us feel as if they have been forgotten. By society. By their friends. By their families.
Our community is here to remind you that you are not forgotten.

October 9th 2025 - Trust in The Lord
Jason's journey to graduation had the vital thread of trust sown throughout his path. He was humbled by his past, and knew he needed a spiritual awakening. Jason did all the big and small things to the best of his ability. Any praise he received for a job well done, he always gave credit to The Lord. This man formed and fostered strong relationships not only with leaders in the Christian community but also with the residents who came after him. He learned to trust others, and others knew they could trust him.
Jason is nothing short of a shining example for all of us to see what trusting in God can do.

Turkey dinners can be a lot of work, but in the end, look at the smiles on these lovely faces.
This wonderful meal was shared by some of our residents and alumni this Thanksgiving.
A special thank you to the Ottawa Food Bank, Bakker's General Store and all our supporters who make these special moments possible.

Thanks to the generous financial support of the Knights of Columbus Council 485, we successfully installed a new eavestrough system and rain barrel at our Discipleship House. The eavestroughs now channel rainwater safely away from our roof and foundation, reducing the risk of basement flooding, soil erosion, and foundation cracks. The rain barrel allows us to water our gardens with stored rainwater, lowering our water bill while practicing good environmental stewardship.
We are deeply grateful to the Knights of Columbus Council 485 for making this possible and for their ongoing devotion to charity.
September 25th 2025 - The Kindness of Genuine Spirit
Cornelius came to us a while ago and left. We didn't know if we would see him again, but he found his way back. Upon his return, it was clear that Cornelius had an incredible faith in God and used it as his strongest asset through the program. He had some difficult days and tough decisions, but in the end, he could see the truth in himself. He could see what would no longer work for him and made the choice to change those things.
Through meeting and working with Cornelius, the staff, volunteers and clients all grew closer to Christ. His joy is a gift to all of us. Thank you for accepting us and inviting us as family.
Love you man, and congratulations.

September 18th 2025 - Choosing Hope.
Ash had a difficult route through our program. Along the way, he faced obstacles that could have sent him back out. There were moments where the weight of his past tried to pull him down, and times when giving up might have felt easier than pressing forward. But he chose a different path. He chose to stay.
What makes his story even more powerful is the faith behind it. He found a new relationship with God and trusted that He had more for his life than the pains of the past, and he chose to walk in that hope. Ash allowed God to work in places that once felt impossible to heal. Through this, he was able to change his relationship with himself.
It was a joy to see the renewal of a man who gave it his all. We are grateful for your story, and we are grateful for you brother.

Early mornings, muddy boots, prayers for endurance and a lot of hard work.
Farming isn’t glamorous, but there’s something rewarding about watching the land give back when you put in the effort. Those weeds definitely don't pick themselves.
Recovery is about putting in the effort daily. Although it can be challenging, the rewards are always shared with others. Last year, we donated over 800 lbs. of fresh produce to our community partners after stocking our homes with potatoes, carrots and onions. As you can see, harvest season is upon us, and the hard work is paying off. We're enjoying the fruits of our labours.

In the early 1990's Jericho Road Coffeehouse was established as a program and weekly drop-in for vulnerable and marginalized persons. The drop-in continues to operate to this day on a weekly basis at Jules Morin Field House and averages 40 persons per week. The Coffeehouse provides a supportive and caring environment with music, munchies and a message.
By 1997 Jericho Road had opened it first group home for men living with mental illness. Jericho continued to expand and grow with more homes opened to provide further support for men in need. Around 2005, Jericho Road began developing what we now call the Discipleship House, or D-House for short - a drug/alcohol treatment program. This 9-month residential program is our response to the epidemic of addiction.
Life with addiction and mental illness is often a life of isolation. Jericho Road encourages life in community. Meals are served family style, chores and duties are shared, which helps residents develop a sense of belonging and shared responsibility for the house and property. We are blessed to provide each resident with their own bedroom to respect independence, while encouraging connection in our common areas with conversation, group activities and that needed relaxation time.
Jericho Road adapted a traditional 12-Step model for recovery in all of our homes in 2015. The 12 Steps as developed by Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935 has helped countless people recover from a hopeless state of mind and body. This indispensable tool is one of our recovery foundations for all our residents, both those with addiction or living with mental illness, and can be used by anyone seeking more freedom in their lives.
This year, in 2018, Jericho Road has been working to develop what we call the Servant-Leader in Training Internship. This internship provides graduates of the Discipleship House an opportunity to take on leadership roles within our community and develop workplace and life experience.
From its establishment in 1993, Jericho Road has provided alcohol and drug-free, safe, affordable homes for men living with addiction and mental illness. Today, our residents both past and present, are consistently supported with an open-door policy to all our homes. We welcome them into our family-style units to grow in support and expand our ripple to the broader community. We help individuals build support networks of regular recovery meetings, sponsors and connection to faith & recovery communities.
Jericho Road currently has 9 beds in the D-House addiction treatment, and 24 beds in our second stage and support homes for a total of a 33-bed capacity. On average 21 men participate in the D-House each year with 50% of those men completing the 9-month program. Of the residents who complete the program, 90% of the men choose to stay at one of our second stage homes to receive continued support as they grow in relationship with God, self and others.
