Live-In Recovery Mentor: A Rewarding Opportunity for a Passionate Leader
Are you a compassionate, driven, and committed individual ready to make a profound impact on the lives of others? 8 Pillars Recovery Foundation is seeking a dedicated Live-In Recovery Mentor to join our team in a female/2SLGBTQ+ home. This is more than a job; it's a chance to be a beacon of hope and guidance for individuals on their journey to long-term recovery.
As a Live-In Recovery Mentor, you will play a critical role in supporting our guests' recovery commitments, providing in-house mentorship, and fostering a safe, supportive environment. You will be an integral part of a community dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives.
About You
We are looking for a female/ 2SLGBTQ Mentor who embodies our values of empathy and resilience. You should have:
A minimum of two years of continuous sobriety from all mood-altering substances.
The ability to live on-site and provide day-to-day recovery mentorship.
Experience working with vulnerable populations and in the mental health sector is a valuable asset.
A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation.
A Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Record Check will be required.
Required Certifications
To ensure the highest level of care and safety for our guests, candidates must possess or be willing to obtain the following certifications:
First Aid certification
Trauma-Informed
Lived experience an asset
Naloxone certified
Food Safety certification
Indigenous Cultural Sensitivity training and awareness certification
12 step or related recovery supportive experience an asset
Key Responsibilities
Serving as a positive role model and mentor for up to 18 guests.
Monitoring the home environment and ensuring guests adhere to program rules and regulations.
Preparing and providing daily meals for 18 guests
Supporting guests in their program commitments and personal recovery journeys.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals at all stages of their recovery journey. Our guests are committed to their recovery and are required to abide by a strict no-drug and no-alcohol policy, including participation in random screenings. We believe in empowering our guests to rebuild their lives and achieve lasting success.
