Wishing for a break in your busy life, maybe a soulful Sunday with like hearted people?
Join Rebecca Gilchrist and I, Cathy Kostendt on Sunday September 21 for this heart opening collaboration.
What to Expect:
We'll begin with a sacred Cacao Ceremony, guided by Rebecca. Cacao, the raw unprocessed form of chocolate- known as "the food of the Gods"- has been used for centuries in ceremonial settings as a gentle yet powerful heart medicine. It helps quiet the mind, open emotional awareness, and awaken a sense of inner connection. In this ceremony, you'll be guided through intentional sipping of a warm, rich elixir prepared with love and reverance. We'll drop into a meditative space with breathwork, intention setting, guided visualization, followed by a beautiful sound bath. The cacao works subtly and sweetly, helping you tune into your wisdom, deepen your intuition, and feel more grounded and alive. From this heart-centered space, we'll transition into deeply restorative forest bathing led by Cathy through her stunning private land- a forest sanctuary complete with a peaceful creek and lush canopy overhead. Forest bathing (derived from Shinrin-Yoku) is a Japanese wellness practice that invites us to slow down and connect with nature through each of our senses. It's not about hiking or covering distance- it's about presence, stillness, and communion with the living world. Research shows that forest bathing can: reduce stress, lower blood pressure and cortisol levels, improve mood and sleep, strengthen the immune system, boost natural killer cells, enhance creativity and mental clarity.
Why this combination is so special: Cacao opens the heart and awakens the senses. Forest bathing invites us to take those open, awakened hearts into a deeper communion with the land, with the natural world around us. Together, these two practices create a powerful synergy- softening the mind, nourishing the nervous system, and offering space for insight, restoration, and deep connection.
What to bring: Water bottle, journal, comfortable walking shoes, layers for the weather, any token item/gem stone that you like to have with you in meditation, and an open heart.
A healthy lunch and teas will be provided as well as comfortable memory foam mats, blankets, and hand made eye pillows
It is encouraged that you consider following a 3 day clean eating diet prior to the ceremony.
Spaces are limited to keep our gathering intimate and intentional.
Let's walk the land together- heart led and present- with the sacred support of cacao and the forest, We can't wait to share this experience with you.
With love and gratitude,
Cathy & Rebecca
