Everytime I leave Fogo Island I leave a piece of my heart behind. The ferry, the insane winds with drifting snow and the frigid cold can't compete with the calmness, the waves and the beautiful views.

It makes you slow down and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

I make more friends and feel more "at home" with every visit. And the Tilting irish draw on their words never gets old.

I was even honored enough to be granted some awesome homemade snowshoes ! Anyone is looking for a pair let me know and I hook ya up! (Locally made on Fogo Island)
