Ubuntu is an African philosophy emphasizing interconnectedness, community, and shared humanity. As the Jewish community prepares to welcome Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we extend our warmest wishes to all who are observing. ✨

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, will be observed from the evening of September 22 to September 24. Soon after, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, begins on the evening of October 1 and concludes October 2.

These sacred days are a time for reflection, renewal, and hope for the year ahead. May this season bring peace, inspiration, and new beginnings to all who celebrate!

It was another unforgettable day on the greens at this year’s Staff, Family, Friends and Retirees Golf Tournament held at Wolf Run Golf Club! ⛳

Thanks to the generous support of our gold sponsors, prize donors and participants, the event raised $16,000 in support of the Occupational Health and Safety Program, helping to fund new patient lifts across Lakeridge Health. This is the largest amount raised since the event began in 2022!

Tuesday, September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, a time to honour survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools.

As part of this month of reflection and learning, you’re invited to a Big Drum social led by Knowledge Keeper Jake Charles and the Ashyung Singers. This gathering is an opportunity to come together as a community to learn, reflect, and experience Indigenous culture and traditions. 🧡
