At Winston’s Fish and Chips right now - and to warn the Gluten Free community. The Homemade Clam Chowder - which was gluten free, and still on the menu at this time (marked gluten free) is no longer. She actually served it to us with regular crackers and when we sent them back with her, she checked and the kitchen said they don’t make the soup gluten free anymore.
So disappointed - as we drove across the city to specifically have the clam chowder. 😢 Why do places do that?! Why when something is so good gluten free - why the heck do they change it?! So so disappointed.

Mmmmmmm Red beet soup & cheese bread make an awesome quick supper. 🥰 Kevin picks up the soup and bread from at the weekend - so good ☺️ The hardest part is waiting till it cools a bit to dig in. 😄

Happy Thanksgiving everyone - Been having a bit of a rough go lately - stomach wise included, so I skipped all the family get togethers this Thanksgiving. This was my thanksgiving supper last night - my favourite to go to comfort food - an omelette. 🥰 What is your favourite food when you are feeling off? ☺️

Love when Kevin runs to to pick up some of our regular loves - and brings home a delicious lunch as well. Ben’s has a - and so many awesome gluten free lunch items - like these spring rolls and chicken nuggets. It is a fabulous family run small business that has a host of items - Dave the owner has and is a wealth of knowledge. It is great to go in and see Dave giving new shoppers the tour, and seeing people’s excitement when they realize all the delicious gluten free safe items in the store. It is a real must go to in the city. Family owned small business that have been around for 70 years and we hope for many many more. 🥰❤️

Posted • I so love being part of a Farm Share (CSA) during the summer/fall months 😍 We are on our third summer with the share, and we so enjoy the set up. I love that we can customize what is in our box each week, and it is such a fast easy process through the Harvie app. I love their good for the earth organic farming practices, supporting a local grower and the amazing produce we get from them. It has improved our eating habits, and opened up our world to vegetables we may not have eaten often before or even new ones - like broccolini and Hakurei Turnips (now a fave) 🥰 Good for the body, mind and soul 💜🥔🥦🥒🥕🌽🫛

In Edmonton — Another of our favourite to go to is - we always find so many amazing and delicious finds. We have our favourites like the Belgian waffles and pizza rolls from and then always looking to try some new gluten free items to us as well. Love how much variety Ben’s has in gluten free foods, it is a regular weekly stop. ☺️

So this is a post for the life part - as for us, food is a big part of life. As we have a household with disease we require eating, but honestly who wants to cook all the time?! 🤷‍♀️ so we so appreciate when we find awesome places like Royal Coach Dining that has this fantastic buttermilk fried chicken 🤤 And we always get a double batch because it freezes well for a supper in the future. 🥰 So good ☺️👍🏻
