Due to the forecast showing earlier this week we rescheduled the event. Join Aventa Centre of Excellence for Women with Addictions and Fresh Start Recovery on August 16th for a Sober and Clean Pool Party! The event will take place at the Mount Pleasant Community Pool from 6:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person.

That includes a burger, refreshments, music, swimming, and lots of sober fun with a splash. Prizes for the best-dressed participant! Only 200 tickets are available, so don’t miss out on the fun! Fresh Start Recovery Gratitude – Expression Through Recovery

This Friday in Lethbridge, we came together to honour a group of individuals who completed the first phase of their recovery journey.

Behind them, the graffiti-covered train car is more than just a backdrop—it’s a symbol of expression, transformation, and reclaiming one’s story. Much like recovery, graffiti is bold, honest, and deeply personal. Every line tells a part of a journey—sometimes messy, sometimes loud, but always real.

Each person here has put in the work, faced their past, and taken the first steps toward a future rooted in connection and growth. As they join our Alumni community, we celebrate not just how far they’ve come, but the strength and self-discovery they carry forward.

This is a celebration of progress, of healing, and of the power of recovery to help us rewrite our stories with meaning and purpose.

Whether you're with us in person, joining online from Calgary, or tuning in from elsewhere—know that we are united as one community, standing in support of each other on this journey.

Fresh Start Recovery Gratitude – Strength in Stone

This Thursday in Calgary, we gather in gratitude to celebrate a group of individuals who have completed the first phase of their recovery journey.

Surrounded by stone walls and grounded by the weight of boulders beneath our feet, we were reminded that recovery, like rock, is about strength, resilience, and staying grounded—especially when the path is uneven.

Wearing their hand-made “Team Addy” shirts, this group stood together to honour the counsellor who helped guide them and the bonds they’ve built with each other. These shirts represent more than team spirit—they reflect trust, transformation, and the power of shared experience.

Recovery builds community. It carves out strength. And in moments like this, it reminds us we’re never alone.

Reminder: Our next Gratitude celebration takes place this Thursday at 1:15 PM, instead of the regular Friday, due to our annual Stampede Barbecue this Friday, to which we invite you all.
