Jill Bullock Holistic Yoga & Wellness I help middle-aged women break free from survival mode, regain confidence, and boost vitality. Creating a balanced, fulfilling, and empowered life.

Let me share my journey with you. I kicked off my career in the dental realm, dedicating 16 years to it. While the health field intrigued me, I realized it wasn't where my true happiness and fulfillment resided. I had always been drawn to the holistic lifestyle, self-development and I loved yoga. Knowing that life is brimming with opportunities that beckon us to learn and evolve, with this knowing driving me, I made a bold choice to pivot in a completely new direction. I zeroed in on my passion for holistic wellness, and mindset. I craved a deeper connection with these areas that I loved so much. My aspiration? To engage with people on a deeply profound level, aiding them in forging a fresh, inward relationship with themselves, empowering them to create the life of their dream. I honed my skills in mindset coaching, embraced the mindful world of yoga, and delved into the stress-busting realm of reflexology. This new drive ignited a fire within me for a career where I could guide and support people who wanted real change in their life, a career that resonated on a personal level. So, I took the leap and brought about a change. Today, I proudly stand as a certified 200-hour Yoga Instructor, an accredited NLP Practitioner, and officially recognized reflexologist endorsed by the Reflexology Association of Canada. My mission is crystal clear: I aim to deliver a distinctive healing experience, coupled with a sincere intention to guide individuals toward holistic well-being and empowered living. We talk so much about what foods reduce inflammation, what supplements to take, what lifestyle hacks can calm the nervous system.

No amount of turmeric, green juice, or yoga will undo the constant stress signal sent through your body when you are at war with yourself.

Self-criticism, shame, and self-hatred are inflammatory. They flood your system with stress hormones, keep your body stuck in fight-or-flight, and make healing feel impossible.

The deepest medicine isn’t just what’s on your plate, it’s what’s in your mind and heart.

When you shift from self-hate to self-compassion, your body feels safe enough to heal.

Notice one place where you’re being harsh on yourself.
Pause. Breathe. Replace the thought with: “I’m learning. I’m human.”

Anxiety isn’t just “in your head.”
It lives in your body too.

The racing heart, the knot in your stomach, the tightness in your chest, that’s your nervous system firing alarms, not just your thoughts being dramatic.

You can’t think your way out of anxiety. You have to soothe your body and anchor yourself in the present moment.

Here’s something to try the next time your mind is spiralling:

- Pause and notice where you feel the alarm in your body.
- Place your hand there, like you’re saying, “I see you.”
- Take a slow inhale through your nose… then an even slower exhale through your mouth.
- As you breathe, gently bring your attention to this moment: the feel of your hand, the sound of your breath, the ground beneath you.
- Whisper to yourself: “You’re safe. I’m here. You’re not alone.”

It may feel simple, but it’s powerful. Because when your body feels safe and your awareness is rooted in the present, not some scary version of the future, your mind finally gets the message too.

The anxiety is not your enemy, it’s a younger part of you asking to be seen, soothed, and cared for.

The other day I sat down in silence. I had no phone, no list, no “next thing.”

And within seconds my mind screamed: Do something. You're wasting time. Be useful.

It hit me how automatic that voice is and how deeply I’ve carried the belief that if I’m not busy everything will crumble around me and "what would people think".

But as I stayed with it, breathing through the uncomfortable feeling, something softer showed up.
Stillness.
Space.
A quiet knowing that everything will be fine and people can think what they want. I needed to slow down for me.

Remember, your worth isn’t tied to your productivity or your ability to hold it all together. It’s not in the fixing, the doing, or the busyness.

It’s in your being. You're worth in inherent.

So, next time you notice yourself rushing to fix, stay busy, or running on autopilot, pause. Let stillness remind you that you matter, exactly as you are and life is not an emergency. The slower you go the more you can experience. One moment, one breath at a time.

The other day a woman told me, “I don’t even recognize myself anymore. Somewhere along the way I became the one who holds it all together for everyone else… and forgot about me. I feel invisible.”

Notice how your breathing shifts when you’re anxious, it's shallow, quick, almost like you can’t get enough.
Or when you’re sad the breath feels heavy, weighted, a sigh that never ends.
And when you’re calm it's slow, steady, and expansive.

Your breath is a reflection of your inner world and by bringing awareness to your breath, you bring awareness to yourself.

It’s not about “fixing” your breath; it’s about noticing it. Then choosing to shift the patter of the breathing.

Each inhale and exhale is like a window into how you’re really feeling beneath the surface. Your breath is a powerful tool to help shift your state of being, it's always with you and it's free.

Because what drives you isn’t always conscious.

It’s the old patterns running in the background.
It’s your peripheral nervous system scanning for threat before your mind even has a chance to catch up.

If you let someone’s anger decide your course of action…
you’ve just trained them how to control you.

And here’s the cycle:
➡️ They get angry.
➡️ You give in to “keep the peace.”
➡️ Their anger is reinforced as the fastest way to get what they want.

Meanwhile?
You feel smaller, resentful, and even more disconnected from yourself.

This isn’t about blame, it’s about awareness. Because once you see the pattern, you can break it.
