Behind every small community like ours is a quiet network of strong, generous women lifting one another up.

International Women’s Day 🤍

Today I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the community of women who make this work possible.

To the women who walk through the studio doors — thank you for trusting me with your time, your energy, and your willingness to prioritize your own well-being.

To the women thank you for the work you do to support your community and for continuing to invite me into your space to share wellness.

To the women of the thank you for the opportunity to collaborate and bring these experiences to more people.

And with deep appreciation to .awaybeauty — the woman who built and owns the space that AmaSoma operates from. Creating a building where a group of women are able to collaborate, run and grow our businesses is something truly special.

As an entrepreneur, I feel incredibly grateful to be surrounded by women who lead with heart, courage, ambition, and self-trust.

And to every woman who walks through these doors — choosing to slow down, listen to your body, and care for yourself is a powerful act.

I see you. I appreciate you.

Happy International Women’s Day.

— Amanda

If you’ve ever laid in a sound bath and wondered…

“What is actually happening right now?”

You’re not imagining the sensations.

Sound journeys influence the body through vibration, nervous system shifts, brainwave changes, and something called entrainment — where your system begins to sync with calming rhythms.

Your thinking mind softens.
Your nervous system slows.
Your body remembers how to rest.

That’s why people often report feeling:

• heavy or floaty
• deeply relaxed
• emotional or released
• like time disappeared

This is also why I weave gentle movement, Yoga Nidra, and sound together — to help the body feel safe enough to settle and reconnect.

If you’ve experienced a sound journey before, I’d love to know what you noticed in your body.

And if you know someone who has ever asked
“What actually happens in a sound bath?”

Send this to them 🤍

If your body feels tight…
If your mind won’t slow down…
If you’re craving movement that doesn’t demand more from you…

Warm Yin might be exactly what you need.

Starting next Tuesday at 6:30 PM
Warm Yin returns — and I have just a few mats left.

This is not a fast-paced flow.
This is long, supported holds in a gently heated room
designed to:

• release deep tension
• support joint and fascia health
• calm your nervous system
• improve flexibility safely
• help you sleep better
• give your body space to soften

The warmth allows your tissues to open without force.
The stillness teaches your mind how to settle.
The breath becomes your anchor.

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be “in shape.”
You don’t need experience.

You just need to show up.

If you’ve been feeling stiff, overstimulated, or stretched thin —
this is your midweek exhale.

A few mats remain.
Book now before the room is full 🤍

You don’t need another thing on your to-do list.
You need something that lets you exhale and fully relax.

If you’ve been feeling:
• tired but wired
• mentally overstimulated
• emotionally heavy
• disconnected from yourself
• holding tension in your neck, jaw, shoulders or back
• like you’re always “on”
Or like you just need a moment for YOU.

This is your invitation.

On March 5 | 6:30–8:00 PM
I’m offering a Restorative Sound Journey designed to help your nervous system soften.

We’ll begin gently —
with slow spinal movement to support circulation, energy flow, and spinal health.

Then we’ll settle into Yoga Nidra —
a guided state of deep rest where the body can unwind while the mind stays lightly aware.

And from there…
you’ll be held in sound.

No doing.
No fixing.
No performing.

Just layers of vibration designed to help you release tension, regulate your system, and reconnect inward.

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need flexibility.
You don’t need to be “good at relaxing.”

You just need to show up.

If your body has been asking for rest in a deeper way —
this is for you.

Spots are intentionally limited.

Message me or book through the link to reserve your place 🤍.

There’s a narrative circulating that people just aren’t doing the foundational work.

That if we moved more, slept more, managed stress better, ate cleaner, drank more water, reduced alcohol, got sunlight, rested, processed emotions — we wouldn’t be struggling.

And yes… sometimes we aren’t consistent.

But sometimes?

We are.

This conversation isn’t about judgment.
It’s about honesty.

Because both can be true:
✨ You might need more consistency or support.
✨ You might already be doing the work and need patience.
✨ You might be quietly living in a constant state of fixing.

Health isn’t just about habits.
It’s about nervous system safety.
It’s about timelines.
It’s about identity.
It’s about how much pressure you’re placing on yourself behind the scenes.

If you’re reading this and feeling defensive —
pause.
That’s information.

If you’re reading this and feeling seen —
pause.
That’s information too.

The In-Between of Health is rarely black and white.
It’s layered.
And sometimes the most powerful step isn’t doing more —
it’s getting honest about what’s really happening.

If you need support navigating that middle space,
you know where to find me 🤍

17/02/2026

There are certain conversations about weight & life that only land if you’ve lived them.

If you’ve never felt like the “bigger friend,”
never navigated PCOS,
never watched your body shift in postpartum or perimenopause,
this might not fully resonate.

But for some of you —
you might feel like you could have written this yourself.

There was a time I was smaller.

I worked out constantly.
I was disciplined.
Structured.
Focused.

But that version of me also:
skipped meals,
under-nourished herself,
obsessed over food,
and tied self-worth to what the scale said.

Nothing was ever good enough.

Even when I looked “healthy.”
Even when others thought I had it figured out.

And then I got tired.

Not lazy.
Tired.

Tired of holding the bar so high.
Tired of constantly trying to control my body.
Tired of believing that shrinking meant succeeding.

I promised myself years ago I wouldn’t go back to extreme dieting.
That I wouldn’t starve myself smaller.
That in my 40s — with muscle to protect, hormones shifting, PCOS in the mix —
I would do this differently.

And still… it’s hard.

Because knowing what to do and living it are not the same thing.

When your body doesn’t respond the way it used to…
When you’re doing the things but not seeing the results…
It’s easy to believe something is wrong with you.

It’s easy to feel broken.

I’ve even caught myself apologizing for my body.
“I’m not trying to let myself go.”
As if existing in a changing body requires explanation.

So here’s what you won’t find here:

No comment “macros” and I’ll send you a plan.
No “10 steps to lose 30 pounds by July.”
No “you just need more discipline.”

What you will find:

Compassion.
Community.
No judgment.
And no “just try harder.”

Because this isn’t just about weight.

It’s about nervous systems.
Hormones.
Stress.
Years of restriction.
Identity.
Control.
Self-worth.
Purpose & meaning.

It’s about learning how to live in a body that changes
without turning against it.

I don’t have a neat bow to tie this up with.

I’m still in it.

But I do know how it feels.
And sometimes being understood is where healing begins
🤍

You’re allowed to change your mind.

So often we move through life simply because it’s the way we were taught.
The way we set out to do things.
The path that once made sense.

Then time passes.
And we keep going — not because we’re mindfully choosing it,
but because it’s familiar.

There is so much to be grateful for in the routines that hold us.
The structure.
The small daily blessings.
The safety they provide.

And at the same time, I need you to know this:

You still have a voice.
You still get to decide.

It’s okay to ask yourself,
Does this routine still serve the direction I want my life to go?

As we change and evolve,
what we want out of life can change too.

And that doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong.

You are allowed to stay.
And you are allowed to choose differently.

I’ve put myself in the uncomfortable position of changing my mind —
changing careers, expanding my education,
returning to my original profession but allowing it to look different.

On paper, that might sound easy. And for some perhaps.
For me, it was far from it.

It took stillness to hear what I actually wanted.
Self-trust to believe it mattered.
Courage to act on what was in my heart.

And it meant setting aside:
the fear of disappointing others,
the discomfort of people-pleasing,
the shame of being seen as unsure,
the guilt of how change might affect those around me.

So if you’re struggling to make a choice —
please give yourself grace.

There are a lot of emotions that come with deciding.
And moving slowly doesn’t mean you’re stuck.

Never forget this:
you do have a choice.

And maybe — just maybe —
it isn’t really about the decision in front of you.

It’s about who you become
by learning to listen to yourself
and honour your truth, one small choice at a time.

The power has always been within you.
Whether you stay.
Or whether you change.

Both are valid. 🤍
