We met long before we created Elements and Insights..

Anniversary vibes 💕✨ We met in 2008… Yes—we’re that old.
Back when flip phones were still around, “Twilight” was a thing,
and somehow this 6-foot-6 soul walked into my life.

Since then, it’s been laughter, lessons, love—
and the occasional “who left this here?” standoff.
Plus a whole lot of adjustments… in woo-woo and not-so woo-woo ways. 😆
What a journey it’s been!

And yes—that’s him in the pic, behind the wheel.
Because sometimes on this wild ride, he’s the one steering when I need to just breathe, look out the window, and trust the road.

But through it all, we’ve grown, supported, challenged, and chosen each other.
Not just once—but over and over again.

Relationships aren’t made of just candlelight and kisses.
They’re built in the quiet moments.
The inside jokes.
The “we’ve got this” pep talks.
The holding space when one of us is off our game.
And the deep knowing that we’re choosing each other… every damn day.

Grateful for the journey.
For the love.
For the way we’ve grown—and kept showing up.

Happy Anniversary to my person. 💖

For a little bit about the artist...Laura Rechwan is an artist and entrepreneur who is interested in the transformative power of the visual arts. From clay mud to welded metal, her visual arts practice values the process of play, and she enjoys working with one-of-a-kind ‘upcycled’ materials. Laura believes in leadership through empowering others, and the importance of creativity and storytelling.

Laura Rechwan holds a Visual Arts Diploma from Camosun College, and is currently studying at Royal Roads University in the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management program. She believes that personal artistic expression contributes to healthy communities, and hopes that her hand-bound leather journals will inspire others to discover their own creative voice.
