About us/À propos de nous
The Youth Mental Health and Technology Lab (YMHtech) is located in the state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Montreal Hospital Research Centre (CRCHUM) in Montreal’s downtown Quartier Santé (health district), with a satellite office at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute.
Our Vision is to advance research, innovation, and build capacity in youth mental health. Through these activities, we endeavour to reduce barriers that young people face in accessing and engaging with mental health care and improve mental health outcomes for youth.
Our Mission is to generate knowledge on the role of technology in youth mental health, and lead research and innovation to improve access and quality of mental health services for youth in Canada.
Our Approach is inspired by person-centered, collaborative, and participatory principles using qualitative, quantitative, and arts-based methods in collaboration with youth, families, service providers, community, and other key stakeholder groups (e.g., eHealth industry).
