The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance (LWHA) was formed on July 1st, 2003 as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital. As an Alliance, we are two separate corporations who share a common governance structure with one Board of Directors, a single management team, and one Vision, Mission and Values. We look for opportunities to share services and programs across our two communities and find creative ways to link with our community partners. Our dedicated healthcare professionals work as a team to provide timely access to care close to home. In an effort to deliver high quality healthcare services, we collaborate with our community partners. These partnerships help us to practice safely and to coordinate seamless transition to services following discharge from the hospital. The Alliance offers a variety of Programs and Services such as:
• Breast Health
• Diabetes Education
• Diagnostic Imaging
• Emergency Services
• Inpatient – Medical and Surgical beds
• Maternal Newborn
• Systemic Therapy
• Surgical Services
• Complex Continuing Care Unit
• Rehabilitation Programming
• Outpatient Clinics
• Visiting specialists
• Laboratory Services

Please note that the Wingham and District Hospital Emergency Department is currently closed.

Effective immediately Saturday August 30th to Saturday August 30th at 7pm.

Patients experiencing a medical emergency are advised to call 911.

The Lucknow and District Kinette Club raised 15,000 for the Wingham Oncology Clinic in honour of their friends and fellow Kinettes, Natalie McDonagh and Tracey Simpson. After months of treatment at Wingham & District Hospital, Natalie returned with her family and Tracey by her side to ring the bell and mark the end of her cancer journey. Together, Tracey and Natalie presented the funds that were raised through a lively Duelling Pianos fundraiser held in Lucknow on May 2. Everyone at the hospital is grateful to the Kinettes, Natalie, Tracey and the McDonagh family. This gift will make a real difference for local cancer patients.
