There will never be words to say how grateful I am. How much love I feel and how doing this 200 Hour Kundalini Teacher Training was a divine intervention. I learned, cried, laughed, and found myself thousands of times over. I knew walking in that first day I was ready and now walking out, I feel whole. I feel loved. I feel perfectly imperfect and held with such reverence and care. These ladies were some of the most amazing humans I've ever met and ones who will hold a deep forever place in my soul.

I was seen in a way I never understood was my super power. A super power that was misunderstood. A lesson in why I am who I am and why I want the things I do. I want to take all of this and teach to others so they can feel even a glimpse of the love, devotion and care I felt.

Sat Nam, we did it!

Exploring Your Own Grounding Practice: A Path to Presence

As we wrap up this series on grounding practices, I want to remind you that it doesn’t have to be complex or fancy to be effective. Sometimes, the most grounding moments are the ones that come in the quietest spaces—the breath in a dance, the sound of water, or even the hum of a favorite tune. Grounding is about finding what feels right for you, and embracing those little pockets of peace that bring you back to the present moment. You don’t have to wait for the perfect environment or a lot of time. Grounding can happen in the simplest, everyday tasks, like washing dishes or just sitting and breathing.

I hope you’ve felt inspired to explore the different ways you can ground yourself. Whether it’s through the freedom of movement, the weightlessness of water, or the rhythm of your voice, there are countless ways to reconnect with your body and the world around you. And remember, grounding is not about being perfect; it’s about being present. It’s okay to take a moment, find a space of stillness, and just breathe. You are worthy of that peace, every day.

If you ever feel like you need a little extra support on your journey, I’m here to help guide you. Whether you need grounding through Reiki, somatic healing, or simply a space to feel heard, I offer a safe and nurturing environment to help you feel more centered and aligned. Let’s work together to bring you back to your authentic self. My goal is that you leave each session, each post, just a little brighter. So, if you ever need a lifeline or some support, reach out. I'm here for you.

Grounding Through Voice: Finding Presence in Sound

I’ll be the first to admit—I am not a great singer. I squeak, miss notes, and my voice isn’t trained, but there’s something undeniably freeing about following along to a melody or repeating a chant. Using my voice brings me out of my head and into the world around me, connecting me with the present moment in a way few other things can. Even in my imperfect voice, I find a grounding that feels powerful and real.

There’s magic in embracing our voices just as they are. You don’t have to be a great singer to benefit from using your voice. Whether it’s a quiet lullaby sung to a child, chanting softly to yourself, or belting out rock and roll at karaoke, the act of singing can calm the nervous system, helping us feel centered and embodied. Our voices carry vibrations that resonate through our whole being, reminding us to breathe and bringing us back to ourselves.

So, let go of any hesitation and just sing, hum, chant, or speak your truth! There’s so much power in simply being free with your voice. This isn’t about sounding perfect; it’s about embracing yourself as you are. And I want you to know that in my space, you will always be celebrated exactly as you are—authentic, expressive, and grounded.

Finding Grounding in Daily Tasks: Mindful Mundane Moments

Grounding isn’t always about meditation or nature walks—it’s often found in the small, everyday moments. For me, there’s a certain calm and purpose I find in the mundane tasks of daily life. Simple chores like washing dishes, sweeping the floor, or folding laundry have become grounding rituals that bring me back to the present, helping me feel connected to my space and myself. When I complete these tasks, I feel a sense of accomplishment, but it’s also more than that—it’s a reminder that I’m right here, in my home, creating order and care in my surroundings.

It’s not always easy to keep up with it all, though. Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes my home reflects that. When my house is cluttered and chaotic, I feel it internally too. But I’ve learned that even just five minutes spent tidying up a corner, wiping down a countertop, or organizing one small area gives me a spark of hope and a feeling of control. These small acts remind me that I can create a bit of calm even in a busy day, and they help me feel a little more centered.

So, next time life feels hectic, try turning to a simple task. Slow down, breathe, and be present with the motions. These mundane moments can ground you in ways you might not expect, making everyday life a bit more purposeful and peaceful.

Grounding with Water: Floating into Calm

For a long time, I hesitated to float. I was unsure if my body would truly stay buoyant, and the idea of just letting go in water felt vulnerable. But when I finally allowed myself to surrender, I discovered that floating was one of the most grounding experiences I could imagine. There’s a unique magic in floating, as the water gently lifts you, asking nothing but your presence.

When I float, the water takes away any need to rush, to plan, or to be anything other than myself in that moment. I feel every sensation—the coolness of the water, the gentle sway beneath me, the soft sounds around. It’s as if the water itself says, “Rest, breathe, and let go.” In those moments, I am both weightless and deeply connected, and the stillness creates space for clarity and calm.

Floating can be an incredibly beneficial practice for grounding, especially for those who find it hard to slow down or release tension. Unlike other forms of movement, floating doesn’t require effort—it invites trust and surrender. For many, water has a way of calming the nervous system and easing mental chatter, making it an ideal tool for grounding and reconnecting with yourself.

Whether you’re floating in a pool, lying back in a lake, or even letting warm shower water cascade over you, water has this gentle, grounding effect. It helps us find peace and quiet in a world that’s often too fast and too loud. Next time you’re near water, I invite you to give it a try: let go, float, and feel the support beneath you. Allow each wave or drop to carry away stress and bring you back to a place of ease and presence.

Grounding Through Movement & Dance

For a long time, I lost the spark in myself by not honoring my truth. I forgot what it felt like to really move, to let go, and to simply enjoy my body in motion. But recently, I’ve found my way back to that spark through dance.

Joining a dance class reminded me of my love for movement. I’m not a perfect dancer by any means, but that’s the beauty of it—there’s no need to be! Dancing is my way of grounding, of reconnecting with who I truly am. There’s a feeling of freedom in jumping, twirling, and moving without worrying about how I look or if I’m doing it “right.” Just feeling the music and letting my body lead has reawakened a part of me I had tucked away for years.

And grounding through dance doesn’t have to be a formal experience. Sometimes it’s dancing around my kitchen when my favorite song comes on or moving freely in my living room, letting my body express itself in ways I forgot it could. Movement releases so much, bringing us back into the present moment and letting us truly inhabit our bodies.

Remember, grounding through movement isn’t about joining a class or being seen—it’s about tuning into yourself and honoring how your body wants to move, whether you’re in a studio, your living room, your kitchen, or a quiet corner. The magic happens when you let go of expectations and just feel into the moment, letting your body lead you back to yourself.

So, if you’re looking to reconnect or find a new way to ground, I invite you to try it—let go, find the freedom in movement, and feel your own unique spark. Whether you dance, stretch, or simply sway, ask yourself: what would be your favorite way to move?

Grounding Practices for Everyday Life: It’s More Than Just Meditation

When we think about grounding, we might picture sitting in stillness, eyes closed, and breathing deeply. And while meditation is a powerful way to reconnect with ourselves, grounding is a multi-faceted experience—more like a many-sided dice. Each side offers a unique way to feel rooted, balanced, and present in our lives. \
Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing different grounding practices—some that may surprise you. Grounding doesn’t have to be still or quiet; it can be energetic, subtle, or even woven into your daily routine. Think of it as discovering what makes YOU feel most connected to your body and surroundings. As we begin this series, here are a few questions to think about:

- How do you naturally find calm when life feels hectic?
- When do you feel most connected to yourself, your body, or your surroundings?
- Is there an activity that instantly brings you into the present moment?

Take a moment to explore these questions, and notice how grounding can take many forms. I hope these posts help you connect with different practices and discover what feels best for you. Grounding is personal, and by trying out various methods, you’ll find the ones that resonate most with you. Stay tuned as I explore movement, water, everyday tasks, and more as pathways to grounding!
