Today, we honor all those who have served and sacrificed in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping. For many veterans, the battles continue long after service, as they face challenges like mental health struggles and isolation.
On Indigenous Veterans Day, observed on November 8th, we also acknowledge the unique contributions and sacrifices of Indigenous veterans who served in WWI, WWII, and the Korean War. Many returned home to a society that did not fully recognize their sacrifices, facing exclusion from veterans programs and loss of status. Today, we honor their resilience and remember their legacy.
If you or a loved one is a veteran in need of support, we encourage you to reach out—help is available.
