Rachel Mark, Radiant Health Rachel is a Registered Acupuncturist and Integrative Health Coach inspiring, educating, and empoweri It consists of a series of over 500 points on the body.

Acupuncture is both a science and an art and is one of the primary modalities used within Traditional Chinese Medicine. The majority of these points are located along channels or meridians, which are the pathways where Qi (energy) flows. Each of these points has a particular function or energetic which enables balancing, healing and movement of Qi within the body. Symptoms arise in the body when t

here is an imbalance of Qi in these meridians. Acupuncture is used to balance and harmonize these imabalances, and has been shown to treat over 100 health conditions! I currently practice as a Registered Acupuncturist in British Columbia under the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to spend my days working with people of all ages and backgrounds to optimize health and integrate a holistic means of healing. I have experienced in myself and seen in others the amazing transformations which can be made through education, empowerment and treatment. I truly believe that these powerful forms of medicine can ignite our own healing response and bring us into a brighter and clearer state of being. My approach to healing takes into account each person as an individual integrating acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, kinesiology assessments, exercise prescription, and yoga therapy.

Does it feel like everything is off lately…your mood, sleep, energy, and cycles?

You’re doing all the things…for your family, your work, your people.

But lately, your body feels like it’s waving a white flag:
😵‍💫 Mood swings out of nowhere
😩 Fatigue that sleep doesn’t fix
💤 Restless nights or waking at 3am
😣 Bloating, brain fog, and a cycle that’s all over the place

If you’re in your 30s, 40s, or navigating perimenopause and feeling out of sync, this is for you.

These integrative medicine based hormone-happy swaps are designed to help you feel more like you again.

You might be tempted to chase another quick fix or trendy protocol…
But hormone balance starts with the basics, your foundations.

The way you eat, move, rest, and reset each day has a ripple effect on how you feel.

Here are 5 simple hormone-happy swaps that work with your body instead of against it.

Not overnight hacks—but daily shifts that add up.
→ See the post for all the swaps!

✨ You deserve to feel vibrant again.
✨ You deserve a body that feels like home.
✨ And it doesn’t have to be so hard.

Start where you are. One small shift at a time.

Have you been feeling a bit off lately?

▫️Like your sleep is more restless…
▫️You’re snapping quicker than usual…
▫️Your cycle feels heavier, more painful, or unpredictable…
▫️Your energy dips hard by midday…

Or maybe you’re just not feeling like yourself.

These aren’t random symptoms, they’re your body’s way of letting you know that something is impacting your hormones (and if you’re anything like me…the most likely culprit is stress).

You don’t need to overhaul your life to figure it out. You just need to understand what your body’s trying to tell you…and that starts with awareness.

I made a free quiz to help you do just that.
It’s quick (less than 2 minutes) and surprisingly eye-opening.

✨ Comment QUIZ below and I’ll send it to you.

Because once you know what’s going on under the surface, you can start making changes that actually support your body — not just push through.

✨Running into the weekend like…✨
I’m not going to sugar coat it…it’s been a full week, and I’ve been feeling a little “crispy” as Friday arrived.

But…

Feeling especially grateful for sunshine, colleagues who lift you up, and coffee that keeps you going ☕️☀️💛
And for the reminder that even when the week feels packed — the tools work if you use them.

🧘‍♀️ Daily movement (even short!) is medicine. And creating accountability helps even more.
🌀 Listening deeply — people carry incredible wisdom in their bodies, and the people I support everyday in clinic have so much to teach me.
📣 And using your voice matters. Especially when there’s something you care deeply about.

The nervous system tools? The grounding rituals? The 10-minute walk between meetings?

They add up. They anchor you. They’re always there when you need to come home to yourself.

Plus feeling nostalgic for She Leads…best weekend ever!

You can still be ambitious and take care of your health.

Being told to slow down used to infuriate me.

There wasn’t a lot of trust between me and the signals my body was sending.
I wasn’t listening. My body was shouting.

And the irony? I was in healthcare—supporting others while pouring from an empty cup.

I had my own team of providers that I trusted deeply, but at some point, I had to stop outsourcing the answers.
My body knew how to heal.
But I had to listen.
I had to nourish and repair, not just push through and crash.

So I made changes. Real ones.

✨ I simplified.
✨ I turned inward.
✨ I prioritized what actually supports my nervous system: rest, nourishment, movement, connection.

And maybe most importantly—I started saying no.
No to the event that wasn’t a “heck yes.”
No to the pressure to do more just because I could.

I was faced with a choice, and maybe you are too.

The decision to live in alignment isn’t always easy—but it’s powerful.
For me, it looked like walking the walk I share with my patients every day.

Do I still get overwhelmed? Definitely.
But now, I hear the whispers before they turn into sirens.
And I adjust course—with way more grace, and honestly, way more fun.

✨ You don’t have to choose between being engaged, successful, and well.
You just need a different way forward.

💬 Have you ever had to rework what success looks like for you? I’d love to hear about it—drop a comment or DM anytime.

I was one semester away from finishing acupuncture school when I finally admitted to myself that I couldn’t keep going like this.

I stepped back—something I’d never really done before.

Two days later, I landed in the hospital with appendicitis.

It felt like my body had been waiting for me to stop… so it could finally speak.

The irony isn’t lost on me—I was studying to support people’s health while quietly ignoring my own.

Even after surgery, I went back. I did my boards. I finished it all. Because back then, rest still felt like failure. I didn’t know what it meant to heal while still being ambitious.

I see this pattern all the time—especially in women who care deeply, show up fully, and give generously.

Sometimes the wake-up call doesn’t come gently. Sometimes it has to knock a little louder.

Here’s what I want to say if you’re in it right now:
🤍You don’t have to wait for a breaking point.
🤍You don’t have to choose between supporting others and supporting yourself.

Have you ever taken a step back—and finally felt your body exhale? I’d love to hear what that moment was like for you. Whether it was big or quiet, it matters.

I thought I just needed to push through.

Growing up as a ballet dancer, discipline and perfectionism became second nature.
So when a serious car accident ended that chapter, I didn’t stop. I didn’t grieve.
I simply asked: “What’s next?”

I dove into kinesiology. Then a master’s degree. Then acupuncture school.
Each step was rooted in health—but I rarely felt healthy.

I remember asking a patient in clinic about their sleep, and realizing…
I couldn’t remember the last time I had slept through the night.

Because I was:
🌀 Exhausted
🌀 In daily pain
🌀 Pushing through 5 AM yoga
🌀 Getting headaches every day

This was my version of burnout—before I even had a word for it.

I truly believed that if I just kept going, I’d eventually feel better.

I didn’t realize I was layering stress on stress, in a body that was already calling out for rest.

But here’s the thing: I know I’m not the only one.

I hear versions of this story in clinic every single week.

✨ Your ambition doesn’t have to come at the expense of your wellbeing.
✨ Your nervous system isn’t something to override—it’s something to listen to.

💬 Have you ever ignored your body’s signals until it forced you to stop?
You’re not alone. And I’d love to hear your story too.

I’ve always been wired for achievement.
I set big goals. I stay focused. I move fast.

I’d hit one milestone and immediately start chasing the next.
That ambition has taken me to some incredible places…
But it also pulled me into a cycle of ignoring my body’s signals in the name of productivity and performance.

Over the years, it’s looked like:
‼ Chronic overworking
‼ Seeking validation through success
‼ Pushing through pain, exhaustion, and burnout

I was so focused on doing more that I forgot to ask:
How do I actually feel?

This is the beginning of a story I haven’t fully shared here—about burnout, nervous system dysregulation, and the shift that changed everything.

I hope it reminds you: You don’t have to choose between your ambition and your wellbeing.

💬 Can you relate? Have you ever been so driven you lost sight of your own needs?
You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out alone either.

If this resonates, I’d love to hear from you below or in my DMs. We’re allowed to do things differently now. ✨
