Phone consultations available. Amanda Dainow has been studying, making and using Herbal Medicine for over 12 years. She has been involved in every step of the process, from planting the herb seeds and watering them in a greenhouse, to transplanting them outdoors to receive direct sunlight and rain, to watching them grow and develop, to harvesting and transforming them into medicine. She is the Annapolis Valley's only Clinical Herbalist and is Certified in Holistic Care for Animals. She offers public workshops on Herbal Medicine and Natural Care for Animals. She is the Founder and Director of North Mountain Animal Sanctuary and the Natural Medicine Standards/Compliance Committee of Nova Scotia. She has a full dispensary. Amanda also offers Reiki for people and animals.

The poppy is a symbol of remembrance and is also used to create analgesic (pain) medications.

The Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) has taken off! Planted several years ago, we thought it was gone, but it popped up again.

I will be using it in my Cold/Flu syrup.
