Horses & Neuroscience ~

A book, an online program, and an in person retreat with the herd.

When and I met, our connection evolved into my training and certification with her Horse Medicine Leadership Academy. During the training, my neuroscience approach paired beautiful with her intuitive horse medicine, and the Horses & Neuroscience Curriculum was born.

Later, I became Faculty at the Academy for Horse Medicine Leadership, specifically the Neuroscience Faculty, and this role deepened my involvement in the teachings. I am honoured to hold this position, and to enrich my relationships with other faculty and clients as the community grows over the years.

Last year, we furthered the curriculum into a published book, with our own drawings and diagrams, photos of our horses, and up to date scientific references. You can purchase this in black and white, or full colour, in hard cover or paperback. Find us on Amazon or at the website.

Further deepening includes the self directed online course, with videos and content, scientific neuroanatomy and more, from our course ongoing development over the years.

New Teachings *

On this auspicious day of February 20th 2026 with Saturn and Neptune, planets of structure and intuition, meeting at zero degree Aries . . . on this day, we formally launch a new platform to learn on intuition through the Way of the Horse.

Horses hold a free and natural and wild intelligence that brings us back to our true nature, attuning us back to the languages of intuition, reminding us of our soul gifts.

There is an elegant neuroscience to their call, and a clarity in the physics of how they enchant us back into our magic. They guide us back to authentic intuition, and there are specific ways to enter into the space with horses to sense this beauty of renewal.

Step forward, the Avademy of Artio, Goddess of the Wild Things, as an archetype holding space for this school, these teachings, this renewal of a Wild Intelligence.

Year of the Fire Horse ~

A year of presence, energetic awareness, the power of the heart and deepening into specific intuitive practices.

As I feel into the intense energy of this year, I feel joy. I feel the waterfall of abundance, the stirrings of powerful creative forces, and the possibility for us to awaken a togetherness to dream a new world into being.

The creation of our world starts in the unconscious, unearths into the subconscious and then designs into the physical architecture of our days in the conscious.

The time has come for us to end complaining, explaining, excusing, and deferring from the magnificent power of our beings, and the majesty that we can create together.

Calling all creatives who wish to galvanize their creative wild natural forces within themselves into a structure of engaged and aligned self responsibility, that unearths authentic leadership for yourself, and for others.

Tending the Dream ~

Hope is a powerful quality; however, we can be confused, disgruntled, disappointed and bemused when we have not fully felt the purity of hope, shed light on how to turn our dreams into reality.

At some point, we benefit from becoming humble in our approach to our dreams. In this place of humility, we can look at our dreams with greater clarity, and so restore authentic hope, from its natural well spring within us.

We can ask, about a specific dream. In the process, we can listen to the honesty about the dream through a congruence and harmony in the rhythms of the nervous system, the heart field and the body as instrument to the soul.

We can ask:

• is my dream authentic

• is my dream arising from my true self

• is my dream of my own Wild Nature

• am I willing to hold my dream lightly and allow the process of unfolding my dream to shift and move with the winds of the universe, the world and a magic of timing

• am I able to be graceful with the process of unfolding my dream, patient with both the tumults within me, and with others who weave the dream with me

• how am I nurturing the dream with the images within my psyche

• what am I willing to give up in order to devote myself to the dream

• what values are galvanized by being aligned with the path of unfolding my dream, and how does this give me authentic energy

When we ask these questions, while in a place of congruent biorhythms, and humble listening to the whispers of our psyche, we can renew from a place of authentic hope.

From this place of authentic hope, springs forth an inspiration aligned with who you truly are, from a well spring within, from the magic of your psyche, and from the power of your own Wild Nature.

The tired that partners with inspiration . . . I sensed this in the collective unconscious this week.

Reposting as I had posted with some errors, due to my own keenness to post, inspired, yet tired myself from a deeply busy week, for which I am also grateful, and some new prescription contacts that made it challenging to read (prescription now fixed).

I share this detail partly as honouring of that existence of the imperfect leader. It’s ok to share something, find a spelling error, re-share it. What I notice is that, that ongoing communication into this shared space has high value for people, within the imperfections.

From the Age of Anxiety to the Age of Intuition ~

As we gathered over the last two days in virtual workshops with horses, this phrase kept moving through my awareness …

“We are moving through the Age of Anxiety into the Age of Intuition.”

In my career in healthcare, along with many other providers, we are seeing anxiety increase in prevalence, and in intensity. Old ways of dealing with things are not working, and we have become exhausted of these.

Part of the Answer to stress and anxiety is learning to balance and calm the nervous system, the brain, the heart field, the inner organs, the fascia.

Yet what I see, is that a significant Antidote to Anxiety is to begin to create your life from the Intuitive sense of what is aligned, true, and resplendent, for you.

We need, to wake up to our true self - our wild self, our wild nature, our inner knowing our intuitive intelligence - again.

In the last week, I have been immersed in conversations with so many, and this is what I see.

Unfolding Love ~

The workshop Unfolding Love, has been years in the making. Fascinated by the communication between women and men, and by the dynamic nature that is the existence of relationships, I have studied and applied with many couples, the neuroscience of the male and the female brain.

As we grow into greater collective understanding of the importance of the electromagnetic heart field, non verbal communication and the importance of how energy speaks louder than words, we are collectively ready for a new way of understanding the holding of a romantic relationship where the biological neuroanatomical differences between men and women are understood for greater relationship intelligence.

In this 3 Hour workshop, you and your partner will have to space and time dedicated to learning the neuroscience, applying the knowledge, contemplating with yourself how you can hold your partnership with greater authenticity and space for love, and how horses bring insight to this wisdom.

New Date ~

Join us on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, for another Presence & Archetypes with Horses offering. The event is offered virtually, on Zoom, from 10 am to 1 pm, Pacific Standard Time (Vancouver Time).

For 3 hours, with breaks in between, we’ll meet virtually (online) to study presence, archetypes and the power of horses to transform us.

In hour one, we’ll explore the meaning of authentic presence, how to move towards this state and how horses help us understand true presence.

In hour two, we’ll move through a Guided Dreamtime Inner Travel. We’ll relax the nervous system to then allow for the layer of archetypal consciousness to reveal a gift for us, a gift unique to you, from the centre of your own wisdom. We’ll discuss archetypes and various ways to understand what they are.

In hour three, we’ll share time with horses virtually, and engage in a ceremony of shedding the old, to welcome the new, in preparation for the Year of the Fire Horse. We’ll discuss practical best next steps forward, to apply your experience into your daily life.

Sometimes I remember . . .

that I am art, creating art.

That we are all works of art, constantly becoming, unconsciously and consciously shaping ourselves.

Like clay held by the potter, our lives take the shapes we are creating.

People come to me, to reflect and say, hey, I actually want to make a different shape of my life, can you help me see what is unconsciously creating so I can clarify, the life that I am making.

I believe in every one of us, exists a creative genius.

We simply have to learn ourselves, to become authentic in the way we hold the clay, of our life.

I am practiced as an honest mirror for people, and that is one of my areas of mastery given the hours of studio time and discovery transformation time that I have explored with humans.

Yet within was always this stirring, of a magical realm where we connect with the energy of things, and animals help us to remember this.

And then I discovered the magnificence of horses, simply waiting to be listened to . . .

and what is art, if not a great listening, to the magic of the moment and tracking that . . . tracing that . . . dancing with that . . . becoming that . . . until the beauty of the mystery is remembered, and remembered as who we truly are.

Archetypes & Horses ~

Above are some excerpts from our book, co-authored with and including some of the teachings from academy.

Since a very young age, I have loved how characters and stories enliven aspects of ourselves that need to be enlivened.

Archetypes bring an energy and vitality to us, as is also proven in the neuroscience literature.

Archetypes can unlock the doors to aspects of our authentic self, by bringing light to areas that were submerged in the subconscious.

I included some excerpts on archetypes, neuroscience, the authentic self, and how to be with horses as guided by these areas.

In our book, each chapter ends with applied exercises and, for the four lenses, journaling prompts to deepen your experience of the teachings.

A book designed to guide you on your horse journey, with the neuroscience to support some of the more ethereal experiences, and to emphasize the importance of a very grounded physicality with horses, we hope you will find our book a longer term reference over the years, to be read and re-read, as you deepen your experience of the wisdom horses bring.
