what is real

can you put
the palm of
your hand on it

can you feel it
through your
whole body...
is this real?

✨i'm looking for some of your input! ✨
i've been day dreaming of more workshops and gathering together. sometimes i get overwhelmed with the possibilities and become a bit lost. i would love to get some insight into what kind of workshops most resonate for folks.
this is a super short, anonymous poll to help me see what you are interested in for the upcoming seasons ...

it has taken me way too long to make these images, so i need to share them here with you. these are the values that guide me in this expressive arts journey. these are anchors for when i feel a bit lost in the sea of questions or possibilities that flood my brain at times. the words are all words i have written down at different times for different reasons that eventually came together to form these values for my practice.

the words are not in any specific order other than personal aesthetics. i recommend you scan and take in the words and notice what resonates or does not resonate for you. do different words or images come to mind for you in any of these?

ok that's all for now. thanks for tuning in.

Next workshop coming up is at the Burnaby Art Gallery on Mar 5.

This workshop is inspired by the current exhibition on display, Karin Jones: Ornament and Instrument.

We will dive deeper into what we see & feel through creative exploration. We will ponder the question: what stories do objects hold and why? You will be given a chance to view the gallery and will be guided through creative writing and sculpting with air dry clay and mixed materials. There will be individual creative time, group collaboration, and time for reflection.

For registration details pls DM.

I just found out that it's today. 🐒
A few months ago I was asked what kind of sea creature I felt like and I answered that I felt like a sea turtle because I felt I needed a hard shell around me to feel protected.
I spent the rest of the week with turtle and ended up learning some lessons which came through in this little story. Feels like the right day to share it with you.
What kind of sea creature would you be today?
