Hello Lovlies,

Can you believe how quickly summer flew by? It seems like it was here one moment and gone the next.

Before we dive headfirst into the fall season, I'd like to encourage you to hit the pause button for a moment.

During this pause, I invite you to reflect on the past couple of months.

Life can sometimes rush by so swiftly that we forget to take a breather and contemplate our journey.

As we collectively emerge from the challenges of the pandemic, many of us have encountered ourselves in new and sometimes challenging ways. Summer typically brings with it a sense of playfulness, warmth, community, music, exploration, and creative growth.

As you ponder the recent past while we transition into the cooler months, I encourage you to listen to your heart. Take a moment to connect with the one thing from this summer that brought you the most joy.

But wait, there's more! I want to extend an invitation to celebrate a victory. Not just any victory, but a celebration of YOU!

Life often keeps us so busy with DOING that we forget that simply BEING is more than enough.

Back in Mexico City from the Moon Dance 🌝

4 day food fasting

8 temezcals (sweat lodge)

4 night of dancing under the full moon until the sunrise with songs, prayers, intentions, emotions, traditions, and women!

5 days of camping with no running water and sleeping on the ground during the hot days …

That was one the hardest things I’ve ever experienced in my life.

The days were too hot to sleep and the evenings were freezing (yes in Mexico) as we were close to the desert.

We drank only water each day with lemon, salt, lime, and honey.

I’ve never fasted before and I never thought that I would be able to do that.

I’m still processing the medicine of this dance and although it was suffering I know I want to return again.

Mexico and my ancestors have been calling me home since 2020 and this traditional dance is exactly what I’ve been seeking.

My history
My language
My teachings

I’m still in awe thinking what exactly just happened. Did I just do that and what was that!!!!!

I know I will be unpacking this for some months as I am also intending to prepare my mind, body, and spirit to return next year.

Thank you Bufo for awakening this desire to remember and reclaim. And for calling me home.

Thank you ancestors for sending my sister to bring me home to my anscestral lands and teachings.

Thank you Mexico for always receiving my journey.

Mexico is calling.

It was the spirit of Bufo that had called me back to my ancestral land and reminded me where I came from.

My work with this sacred offering has not only changed how I hold myself, my trauma, my life, Bufo reminded me who my people were.

My journey of reclaiming my roots has been riddled with shame, confusion, empowerment, anger, frustration, excitement, honour…..emotions.

I don’t have “proof” of my ancestory.

I have a memory through spirit, I have a memory through blood, I have a memory through ceremony.

Recently one of my clients invited me to be a Volunteer for a moon Ceremony where I believe my ancestors came from.

I just got off the phone and the Abuella’s have invited to dance in a 4 day moon dance ceremony.

All women, 4 nights of dancing, no food, plus daily temezcal which we build and take down by hand.

I am so honoured and very fearful of this endeavour.

Another sister told me that my ancestors had sent for me, they came to gather me and this touched my heart so deeply.
