At Vancouver Psychology Centre, we know that every child’s journey is unique—and sometimes, therapy looks like getting a little messy, creative, and playful.

Toys like Squigz aren’t just for fun—they help kids engage, regulate emotions, and express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. 💙

✨ Therapy meets kids where they’re at. Whether it’s through play, art, or conversation, our clinicians create a supportive space for children to explore big feelings and build emotional skills at their own pace.

📞 If your child could benefit from extra support, we’re here to help. Book an appointment today.

Couples counselling isn’t just a last resort — it’s a powerful tool for connection, communication, and growth at any stage of a relationship.

✅ Fact: Many couples come to therapy to:
• Strengthen communication
• Navigate life transitions (like parenting, moving, or career shifts)
• Deepen emotional and physical intimacy
• Work through recurring conflicts
• Build a more connected, resilient partnership

Think of it as relationship maintenance — not just crisis repair.

At VPC, we’re proud to offer clinicians trained in a range of approaches to support couples in building healthier, lasting relationships.💚

This Thanksgiving, we’re reminded of the quiet strength found in gratitude.🍂

Whether it’s a heartfelt note, a moment of reflection, or simply pausing to say “thank you,” these small acts can have a lasting impact on our mental well-being.

At Vancouver Psychology Centre, we believe that gratitude is more than a seasonal sentiment—it’s a powerful tool for connection, healing, and resilience. As we watch the pages turn in The Thank You Book, we're inspired by the simplicity of appreciating what we often overlook.
This weekend, we invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and take stock of the people and moments that bring warmth to your life.

From our team to you—thank you for being part of our community.

Wishing you a meaningful and peaceful Thanksgiving. 🧡

What is Internal Family Systems Therapy?

IFS is a powerful, compassionate approach to therapy that helps us understand the many different parts that make up who we are — like the inner critic, the people-pleaser, the anxious part, or the part that just wants to shut down.

Rather than trying to “get rid of” these parts, IFS invites us to get to know them — to understand why they’re there and how they’ve been trying to protect us. Underneath all of them is something deeper: the Self — calm, grounded, and capable of healing.💚

IFS is especially supportive for those who:

• Feel pulled in different directions internally
• Struggle with self-criticism or inner conflict
• Are working through trauma or complex emotions
• Want to build deeper self-understanding and self-trust

At Vancouver Psychology Centre, we’re proud to offer clinicians trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy, helping clients reconnect with their inner strength and heal from within.

Today, on National Truth and Reconciliation Day, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the ongoing strength and resilience of Indigenous communities. 🧡

Reconciliation is not a one-day event — it's a lifelong commitment to learning, unlearning, and taking action. At Vancouver Psychology Centre, we recognize the deep impacts of intergenerational trauma and the importance of culturally safe, inclusive care.

Here are small but meaningful steps we can all take toward reconciliation:

🌿 Listen to and amplify Indigenous voices
📚 Learn about the history and legacy of residential schools
🧡 Wear orange to show your support and raise awareness
🧾 Read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action
🧠 Reflect on how we can decolonize our spaces and systems — including in mental health care.

Today, we pause to reflect, but tomorrow — and every day — we continue the work.
