The BCPS recognize the incredible personal and community loss as a result of the ongoing intergenerational trauma, systemic racism and health inequities resulting from the legacy of residential schools and colonialism in Canada. As an organization committed to the health of children and youth in British Columbia, we reacknowledge our commitment to supporting cultural safety and equitable health of all Indigenous peoples.

If you plan to wear an Every Child Matters orange shirt, it’s important to source from a reputable retailer to ensure the proceeds are going to the right place. You can find a list of organizations that The Orange Shirt Society has partnered with for official merchandise at www.orangeshirtday.org. Most importantly, wear orange on September 30 to show your support as a reminder that every child matters, every day and everywhere.
