It’s the opposite of materialism. Over the last 20 years in my practice of Spiritual Mentorship and Healing, I've witnessed disconnection as being the greatest increasing soul malady. It’s ironic that as the information age is about “getting us connected” we’re actually disconnecting more and more, from our mythic soul life and spiritual kinship with Nature. We have forgotten that we are a member of not only our immediate human community, but also our Nature communities (plants, trees, mountains, rivers, oceans), our Animal community, and our Ancestral community. This forgetting can leave us with soul lethargy, a sense of meaninglessness, and lacking the spiritual resilience to navigate life’s challenges. At its roots, Animism is an ancient celebration of the many ways of listening and being human in the sacred diversity of life. As a spiritual way of living, we learn to remember and reconnect with the ancient knowing that everything is alive and everything is connected to everything else. Animism provides us with path of conscious initiation so we can become adept at living in the natural cycles of life-death-rebirth while developing a lasting and unshakeable intimacy with our Ancestors, Nature, and Spirit.

GENIUS: I was recently introduced to Gene Keys through my relationship coach, .relating.

What landed in my body like a massive truth-bomb was Gene Ley 38 - the path from struggle to honour.

⚔️ The path of the Spiritual Warrior

Reading it felt like someone had written the script of my life.

Like so many of us, I’ve walked through childhood trauma, heartbreak, addiction, and profound loss.

And for whatever reason, my healing path hasn’t had much space for bypassing with love and light. I’ve had to feel every single ounce of it.

This is taught me to meet pain, not as a pathology, but as a portal.

What my path and everything I learned and now teach has taught me is that struggle is not failure, it’s INITIATION.

Yes, the mind wants to escape with suffering and play the victim.

But true soul healing asks us to break the habit of seeing ourselves as helpless, to feel the grief, to reclaim the parts of us we were taught to abandon, and walk forward with integrity and resilience.

Gene Key 38 reminds me that my own healing work is not about winning! It’s about re-membering our power and our beauty and choosing to stand for the sacred.

This is why it’s always an honour and a privilege to guide people through deep soul work.

It’s a sacred partnership to support people rising from the ashes.

SOUL PARTS WORK: One of the biggest parts of my relationship patterns has been that once I can’t fix anymore, I flight.

And I flight either deep within myself or to the other side of the planet.

And either way, in that process of flight, I am so often flying away from the part of me that is overwhelmed with unmet needs.

What I love most about SOMATIC SOUL RETRIEVAL is that we get to find the parts that we have abandoned along the way.

Then I help you heal the pain and disconnection, get your nervous system regulated and integrate them home.

Once your Soul Parts are home, it’s all about INTEGRATION.

We want to ensure that the vessel of your body is settled and regulated without reflecting the energy and situation of why the parts left.

That way your Sovereign Self - your wise adult - has the capacity to collect and really tend these young and vulnerable parts so that the gifts they carry can be brought into your life.

SOUL HEALING: I want to take a moment to send my encouragement to those of you healing from CSA.

It is truly an incredibly insidious trauma that cuts right through to the SOUL.

In my work over the decades I have supported dozens of people healing from this type of trauma.

There are many layers that we address:

🪷 the soul loss as parts leave for survival

🪷 the clearing of shame energy dumped from the perpetrator to avoid any accountability

🪷 the retrieval of power stolen, because power is at the root of it all

🪷 the ancestral lineage clearing as it’s so often multi-generational

🪷 rituals of innocence to reawaken that which could never be taken

🪷 somatic therapy to renegotiate and clear fight, flight, freeze and fawn

🪷 and of course spirit journeying so you can heal the soul parts, receive spiritual support, and get a sense of protection.

This work, this healing is so often arduous and deflating and difficult. All that said, I can say that working with both somatic counselling and shamanic/animist soul medicine seems to really get results.

I’m working on a brand new offering for trauma healing so do stay tuned. My website is really in transformation at the moment so I appreciate your patience.

BEALTAINE Blessings here at the mouth of Summer my friends.

Here’s a few pics from our pilgrimage to Ireland a few years ago. It was absolutely sublime and I can’t wait to return. 🇮🇪

If you’ve been feeling a stirring of fiery power, playfulness, and PASSION happening then you’re likely feeling the stirrings of the beautiful polarity between Father Sun and Mother Earth.

It’s like he’s growing and shining down on her and saying, “Whoa! Well hello you beautiful being!”

And she opens to all that consistency and light with, “Well hello to you gorgeous bright being. I just want to keep opening and birthing all this BEAUTY for you to delight in.”

BELTANE is also the sacred doorway that reflects our rite of passage from childhood to adulthood and what a challenging time we have of this in our culture right!?!?

Adolescence is complex and we miss sooooo much permission and delighting from adults. 😞

And yet, as a parent, I really learned about the incredible creative power of teenagers. Wow!!! What an inspiring population we have in our midst.

In the Fall, I’ll be opening the doors to the Essential Revolution Apprenticeship where we heal this rite of passage and our relationship with our 🔥 FIRE.

Behind the scenes over here I’m working hard on rebirthing my work and the Apprenticeship, so stay tuned for me.

YOUR SOUL is a complex and beautiful Being. When you are fully aligned with it, you will always find your way back to the very reason you chose this human incarnation.

At the same time, our SOUL is sensitive! This is its greatest gift however, in our culture it can be very challenging to stay connected and know how to stay grounded within that sensitivity.

In addition, part of life is adversity and sometimes if our SOUL feels threatened, a part of it will leave.

Oftentimes over my years as a Somatic Counsellor, I’ve heard clients say things like, “I feel as thought a part of me just came back right now and it’s here!”

And most times this is literally the case.

The work from there is integrating the soul parts and providing the spiritual healing they so often need.

I hope these tips will support you in your healing journey should you experience spontaneous soul retrieval. If you really follow them, you will notice a profound change in your being.
