Macros are short for "macronutrients" which are proteins, carbohydrates, and fat.

All food has a certain amount of these nutrients in them per serving. Macros make up out caloric intake each day.

Here's 3 macro friendly recipes, perfect for your busy lifestyle and adaptable to YOUR body weight !

Cook your salmon filet in olive oil along with garlic and onions. Then when your piece of fish is almost ready, add the crushed almond with fresh squeezed lemon juice. ๐˜–๐˜ฑ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ญ fresh cilantro on top ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), nearlyย one in five adultsย in the U.S. has mental illness. Despite how common mental health conditions are, not everyone knows how to identify them.

Early detection and intervention for mental illness is key to help a person get connected to a support system and improve long-term recovery outcomes. Especially considering that untreated mental illness can lead to both worsening symptoms and unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as substance use.

Here are five symptoms of mental illness that are often overlooked;

1. Constant Fatigue
This shouldnโ€™t come as a surprise, but living with mental illness can beย exhausting.

2. Physical Pain
A key understanding in the integrated approach to mental health is that the body and the mind are inextricably connected. If your body is sick, this can affect your mental health. And vice versa.

3. Perfectionism
Some mental illnesses can distort how you perceive yourself, others and your surroundings. One of the ways that this can show in your life is in the expectations you set for yourself.

4. Lack of Emotion
Lack of emotion is a common symptom of mental illness that isnโ€™t always talked about.ย 

5. Avoidance
Everyone has times where they might avoid a certain task, or even certain people, for a variety of reasons: Procrastination, stress or a lack of interest. Developing a pattern of avoidance, however, can sometimes be a sign of a deeper issue.

Anxiety interferes with your ability to function.

You often overreact when something triggers your emotions. You can't always control your responses to situations but you can try to target and understand what triggers you.

Stress can also be a sign of danger, and can thus provoke overreactions. Stress can be a consequence of a threat and threats are known to cause people to overreact.

Dealing with constant anxiety causes a lot of stress on both your mind and body, which can cause chronic irritability and hostility.

Overreacting is a symptom of bipolar disorder. Hearing harsh words that would be painful to anyone, you may well respond with extreme anger or dark depression. Even a sad movie can make a person with bipolar disorder overreact.

Lots of us may experience anxiety and have a hard time to cope with it, especially these days..

So here's 3 simple tips I'd like to share with you that works very well for me when I experience an anxiety crisis ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

1- Take a time out โณ
Step back for a minute and ask yourself what triggers your anxiety.

2- Take deep breaths ๐Ÿซ
Breath in, breath out. Focus on your breathing. It will help you calm down.

3- Do your best ๐Ÿฅฐ
Living out each and every moment to its fullest potential.ย And this potential exists in every situation you encounter in your life.ย 
All that is required of you is not to fight whatever life throws your way.

As much as we all love summer and I seriously love it, I know I always fall a bit off track with my personal goals. A few too many patio drinks and food. Enjoying the weather with friends as much as possible rather than focusing on that self love I know I need sometimes. Itโ€™s not a bad thing. But Iโ€™m really excited to get back to my routine ๐Ÿ™Š

We did this challenge back in February and it was incredible!! So many women have joined us to learn more about sustainable changes such as, nutrition - not juts a quick fix - self development and exercises. We live in a crazy world and it would be unrealistic to expect anyone to not be stressed !

Chronic elevated cortisol affects our immune system, our hormones, insulin levels, our every levels, mental health and much more. There are simple steps and actions we can implement into our daily lives that will make a huge difference.
