Anyone can join us, it doesn't matter where you live, however, the content will be focused on the Vancouver area, British Columbia and Canada. Facebook has made this world much smaller and without it and those who share on it - I would not have come through my first year of RA (2012) without it. I was inspired to start this page by all the wonderful people I have met on Facebook and in person who have been a part of my life since my diagnosis. Kelly Young at www.rheumatoidarthritiswarrior.com, Niki Wyre at RA Chicks, and my RA sister Melissa who lives near Chicago, who was diagnosed at the age of 2, and whom I have never met! I have to acknowledge my sister Denise, my mom Leighton, my GP of 30 years, Heather Morrison who I went to at the beginning of my first big flare, retired during this time referring me to a new GP who has been great, my rheumy Dr. Shahin Jamal, and her nurse Bonnie, who always make me feel heard. There are many others on my team as well, my Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and everyone at the Mary Pack Arthritis Centre. I have an amazing team and I hope this page supports you while you find yours! Please open the "Notes" link on the right side of the main page just under the Welcome message. You will find many local and general RA resources in the "links/website" post. Let us know if you have resources to add.
