Eva Mateus A Little About Me
I grew up as a competitive gymnast and loved the dedication and commitment to pushing my body to its limits. All relationships start with you.

As I evolved, my passion for personal physical development translated into 10 years of coaching gymnastics in my hometown of Terrace, BC. Focusing on my physical body served a huge purpose in my life, but I soon realized how important the mental components were to overall well being and expansion. Recognizing this, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and eventually became a Certified Bodyworker, which I have been practicing for the past 7 years and absolutely love it! After numerous client sessions, I began to understand the body, mind and emotional connection, drawing conclusions that trauma gets physically trapped in the body and causes long-term pain. My curiosity to understand this connection more deeply took me to Rhodes Wellness College in Vancouver, BC, where I completed the Life Skills Coaching Diploma in 2015/16. I have always been a passionate observer, both internally and externally. You may even call me a ‘little investigator’ or a ‘curious seeker’. I've been investigating and exposing my personal limitations, hurts and beliefs for over fourteen years. Having experienced many challenges and traumas of my own, I realized how much we hold ourselves back from truly living, stuck in beliefs or behaviors that are damaging and destructive. Yet we cling to these beliefs and behaviors, often times completely unaware of them, and they hang over us like a dark cloud dimming our light. I know that we are not broken, we are RESILIENT! I want to assist others to feel SELF-LOVE, restore SELF-ESTEEM, and find FREEDOM to PLAY, EXPLORE, LOVE and experience JOY. I want to assist others to internally observe with curiosity and compassion rather than criticism and judgement. Wouldn't it be nice to fall in love with yourself? It could get serious ;)
