A is for Allowing:
We spend our lives resisting what is, fighting back, trying to muscle past our emotions and feelings.
But our body is constantly communicating with us through these messages. Are we allowing them to enter, or are we blocking them with judgments and opinions?
By allowing our body to communicate with us through thoughts, feelings and emotions, we can start shifting our focus to those messages that serve us and letting go of the messages that limit us.
Meditation, mindfulness, turning inward, grace... these can all help us connect with ourselves and the messages we are receiving.
These messages guide us, they do not define us.
..but we have to lovingly let them guide us.
So, next time you are sent a message re: appetite or anything else, don’t resist. Let it be. And without judgment, but with child-like curiosity, try to figure out the purpose of the message and how to respond to it.
Allowing seems easy, but takes time and effort to sink in. I’m still working on it, myself!
