MANA BODY and SOUL Bowen Therapy is a gentle yet incredibly efficient hands-on therapy that can positively stimulate the body to heal very quickly. What is Bowen Therapy?

While supporting the body as a whole it addresses the underlying physical, chemical, emotional and mental causes of chronic and acute illness. What to expect? The moves can be done through thin and loose clothing. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen’s unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body. Pause

s between each set of moves allows time for the body to reset. A Bowen treatment can be deeply relaxing and it’s not uncommon to fall asleep during a session. How many sessions? Everyone is different but for most issues 3-5 visits are needed. After 3 weeks the practitioner will assess if additional treatments are needed. Most clients will know very quickly whether Bowen Therapy is going to be a successful treatment for their problems.

All-or-Nothing Thinking: Breaking Free

All-or-nothing thinking is seeing life in extremes—success or failure, perfect or worthless—leaving no room for balance. It often shows up as:

Perfectionism: “If I can’t do it perfectly, why bother?”
Self-Criticism: “One mistake means I’ve failed completely.”
Giving Up: “I slipped up once, so I might as well quit.”
This mindset creates stress, stalls growth, and keeps you from celebrating progress.

Shifting Your Perspective

Notice Absolutes: Challenge thoughts like “always” or “never.”
