Dear Clients,

As you all probably know we are back in lockdown. That means we cannot work until further notice by the government.

We have tried to contact as many clients as possible in order to reschedule their appointments but some were not available to reach by phone. In the coming days we will renew our efforts to contact the remaining clients by phone and by email.

Unsatisfying laser hair removal results?
This might be the reason: Laser machines' distributors do not provide an unbiased and truthful training.
Thousands of laser therapists who rely on the training provided by the supplier of their machine may have noticed that they are not getting the results they were promised. That’s because training by a distributor has a fatal flaw that nobody talks about Because the laser and light-based equipment market has become so competitive, most distributors and manufacturers nowadays deploy half-truths and ‘alternative facts’ to convince potential buyers to buy their equipment. It has become almost impossible for even an experienced therapist to distinguish between facts and fiction.
When the machine is delivered and the training provided, the distributor or manufacturer finds himself in a peculiar situation. At this point in time he can no longer provide the client with honest and unbiased training without severe legal and financial consequences.
This means that the trust their clients put in them will be disappointed because of their supplier’s lies. Irrespective of this, they are those who are responsible for delivering results to their clients.
It is therefore of utmost importance that laser therapists seek scientifically-based, high-quality technical training before they make any further upgrades or purchases of their equipment. And as it's probably known by now: it’s never the machine’s fault or the supplier’s mistake. The suppliers will claim over and over that it can be fixed if the clinic will only make this or that upgrade.

The differences between IPL and lasers

The main difference between a laser and an IPL is that a laser can only emit a single wavelength, while an IPL emits a range of wavelengths (usually between 450nm and 1200nm). Unlike a laser, an IPL does not get its energy (light) from stimulated emission. A flash lamp is used to create a wide range of wavelengths (xenon lamps are usually used for IPLs), which is then filtered to prevent radiation from unwanted wavelengths. The three characteristics of light that distinguish lasers from IPL's are: Coherent/non-coherent, Monochromatic / Poly chromatic, Collimated / Divergent (see pic.).
In practice this means that lasers are much more targeted than IPL's. As well as more concentrated.

WHICH WILL BE BEST FOR YOUR NEEDS?
With a laser you will get better results to do a specific task. Like removing hair or a vein. Whereas an IPL will be better to do a general treatment. Like anti-ageing or a light facial. However, in real life the divide between the treatments are not so exact.

ARE THE NEW IPL'S AS GOOD AND SELECTIVE AS LASERS? IS THERE STILL A USE FOR LASERS?
This is a very common perception. IPL's are much more limited as far as safe treatment on dark skin types is concerned. Once the melanin content goes over a certain fresh-hold the energy must be reduced to such an extent that the treatment no longer yields any satisfying results.

6 Crucial Mistakes that may affect your laser hair removal results.

1. Skipping appointments: It is important to keep the appointment in sequence as originally booked by the clinic. Hair grows in three stages: the anagen (growth) stage, the catagen (transitional) stage, and the telogen (resting) stage. Certified professionals appropriately spaced out treatment sessions to target hair follicles in the growth (anagen) stage—but not all hair follicles will be in the same stage at the same time. For this reason, skipping an appointment could lead to increased hair regrowth post-treatment plan due to missed hair follicles or a longer treatment period. For best success, treat each appointment as a priority,

2. Avoid choosing your laser provider based on the treatment price especially when comparing it to other clinics prices. It is almost impossible for you to estimate the quality of the treatment based on that factor.

3. Avoid choosing your laser provider based on the machine type. each system needs the knowledge to operate and maintain and it will be almost impossible for you to know whether those terms were met or not. Many clinics will use a certain machine to treat you just because they have it in their possession and not necessarily because it is the best for your condition.

4. Ask for recommendations from someone you trust who have used the clinic services themselves.

5. Don't pull the hair between sessions. Avoid any waxing, sugaring and similar methods that will pull the hair with its follicle.

6. Avoid tanning. Laser procedure must be performed on and un-tanned skin. Tanning might cause the need to delay your treatment therefore a disruption of the procedure (as explained in paragraph 1).

Laser Hair Removal For Teenagers and Adolescents

Laser hair removal has become a very popular procedure these days for youngsters and teenagers, both boys and girls, especially for underarm, bikini lines, legs, and also for boys on their chest or back area in case they're very hairy. Some girls may also get hair on their upper lip or face. It should be known that the risk of laser hair removal procedure is identical for young as well as mature people.

There is no hard and fast rule about how old your child can be to start this, but there are three very important considerations to take before you do.

1. You want your child to have an established adult pattern of hair. If you start at an early age, they will expect to need more treatments to achieve the same result.

2. Once you know that your child is physically ready to have the procedure, you need to determine if they are emotionally ready. All laser hair removal procedures do hurt some. Numbing creams can be used to decrease the pain. But you want to make sure that your child is ready, willing, and able to handle the mild pain that's associated with the procedure.

3. In addition, you need to make sure that your child is capable of following both the preoperative and postoperative instructions properly. It has a greater risk of scarring if your child is tan or goes out in the sun after a procedure. So they have to be prepared to avoid suntan and to use sunscreen creams often, before and after the procedure is performed.
Also they need to know that waxing, sugaring and other plucking methods will be off limits from now on.
So if you determine that your child is ready and can handle all of these things, then they would be able to go.

Finally, don’t forget that you as the parent, be able to go with them, because you will need to read the consent, understand the risks and the benefits for it, and sign for them.
