We are presently looking for an ECE educator to help educate a toddler (2 years old) and help a mother with a newborn baby. The position is at a home located in Vaughan, ON. We are specifically looking for someone who has obtained their ECE credentials. Please see list of responsibilities below. The position is being supervised by a classroom teacher (references can be provided if needed). This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates or those looking to gain valuable experience in the field.
Responsibilities
- Plan activities one week in advance that focus on gross motor skills, fine motor skills, emotional/behavioural skills, imaginative play and literacy
- ECE will lead daily social, learning, and physical activities
- ECE will facilitate meal times including breakfast, lunch and snack
- ECE will transition children for nap time
- ECE is responsible for the overall health and welfare of the children, which requires diligent monitoring of all children during learning times, meal times, restroom breaks, and nap times.
- ECE is responsible for keeping the play areas clean, organized, and stimulating for children.
- Responsible for 1 toddler and assisting the mother with the newborn
- Hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm (negotiable); 4 days per week M-F
