Like it or not, your muscle mass tells a story about your future life.

If you want your golden years to be golden, you need muscle.

You don’t need to look like a jacked bodybuilder, but you DO NEED enough to confidently and easily live your daily life AND participate in activities that are meaningful to you.

Most people under the age of 50 roll their eyes because they can already do that.

That’s not the point.

The point is that you’re fighting the clock. A clock that dramatically decreases your strength and power output every year after age 40 unless you do something about.

Unless you say, “I’m not living that kind of life. I refuse to compromise the fulfillment I get from living.”

Get up.

Build some muscle.

It looks good on you and will help keep you alive.

Even fitness and health experts have coaches.

Why?

Accountability, avoiding bias, they want to reach their goals.

If experts in the field need a coach, why don’t you?

Do you need accountability to stay on track, to change gears when things aren’t working, and to continue to do the things OUTSIDE of the gym that impacts your health?

Do you need help making sure you’re not just doing the things you LIKE to do all the time and avoiding the things you NEED to be doing to improve your overall health?

Plain and simple: Do you want to reach your goals?

If you answered yes to any or all of those questions, you need a coach.

Not just any coach. A professional coach.

Someone that knows and understands you and your goals, and can help you create a plan on how to get there.

We are professional coaches. We have helped, and are helping people just like you crush their goals.

Those same people came to us because they needed accountability, direction, and they wanted to reach their goals.

Let’s face it-most of us don’t worry about aging until we start feeling the effects. When everyday tasks become a struggle, when we slow down, when fun turns into effort-that’s when the concern sets in.

So, what will your body feel like in 10, 20, or 30 years?

Will you embrace each day feeling vibrant, or will you sense the weight of age catching up with you?

Here’s a secret: Your current lifestyle holds the answers.

Are you committed to regular exercise, a nourishing diet, quality sleep, stress management, and meaningful connections with loved ones? If so, chances are your future self will thank you. You’ll likely feel just as fantastic-or maybe even better-in 15 years.

Conversely, if you’re cutting corners on sleep, relying on fast food, battling stress-induced issues, and drifting away from important relationships, the path ahead might not be as enjoyable.

Remember, the future you desire starts with the choices you make today. If you are ready to take charge of your lifestyle now, and watch your future self thrive join us in Cultivate.

Doors close March 25th!

The way muscle mass makes you look, love it or hate it, is inconsequential compared to what it does for your health and longevity.

Muscle mass preserves your freedom. Without it, you don’t get to CHOOSE how you live. This isn’t a conversation about being strong enough to impose your will on others; it’s about the fact that so many people stop doing things they love far too early in life because their bodies can’t handle it.

Muscle mass is also a powerful shield against cognitive decline. Working muscle releases compounds (myokines) that protect the nervous system. The more muscle you have, the more protection you get. When you don’t have enough, your brain becomes more vulnerable.

Muscle mass isn’t a pursuit of vanity; it’s a responsibility.

P.B. came to me frustrated by not being able to do the things she loves like climbing due to intense headaches and migraines that were triggered from her traps and some old injuries. After a movement screen and tolerance testing we went back to the basics, focused on form and slowly increased volume to strengthen her muscles and give her nervous system time to adapt and recover. What Penny thought was a management plan turned into a healing plan.

Living pain free is possible and I want to help you.

Join me this Saturday, March 16th at 10:30am at Forge Training for a Pain-Free Workshop.

This in-person 90 minute seminar includes discussions on flexibility vs. mobility, load vs. capacity, a movement assessment and injury screen as well as a free follow up personal training session!

They’re equally bad because they re equally dangerous.

“No pain no gain,” may seem more dangerous on the surface but that’s only true in the short-term. In the long-run “If it hurts at all, STOP” is just as dangerous.

Why?

Simple.

Adaptation requires irritation... now in English.

If you want previously injured/painful body parts to get out of pain, that won’t happen without discomfort.

So, if you avoid 100% of the things that cause discomfort, you’ll also avoid 100% of the things necessary to pave the road to pain-free living.

On the flip side, if you fall too deep into the
“no pain, no gain” mentality, you’ll blow right past the limiters and alarm bells your body has in place to keep you safe.

If you want to feel and perform your best for as long as possible, you NEED a better understanding of pain and the language your body speaks to keep you safe.

If that’s not something you’re interested in learning on your own, find a coach who gets it and can teach you. Need a coach? Shoot me a DM.
