Palliative Approaches

Palliative Approaches Palliative approaches is a program of research led by Dr. Kelli Stajduhar out of UVic.

Palliative approaches is a program of research led by Kelli Stajduhar out of the University of Victoria. The research we do is community focused and involves collaboration with local, national, and international partners from community, health, social care, and government levels in order to develop tools, programs, and services. The underlying aim of all of the materials developed by the Palliative Approaches team is to improve access to quality care for people facing the end-of-life stage who also experience social and structural inequities like homelessness, poverty, isolation, racism, and stigma. To do this, we work toward expanding common ideas about what a palliative approach means, where it happens, and who provides it.
