It’s not uncommon for people to experience a bad sunburn in the spring. With temperatures still cooler than in the summer, it's easy to forget that the sun’s UV rays are getting stronger every day.

May is Melanoma Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s time for our annual reminder to protect your skin, even when temperatures are low and clouds linger above.

Here are some key sun safety tips to keep in mind this spring:

☀ Use broad-spectrum sunscreen
☀ Opt for 30 SPF or higher
☀ Use UV-protective clothing
☀ Re-apply sunscreen every 2 hours
☀ Put sunscreen on before makeup or bug spray
☀ Don’t forget SPF lip balm
🌥 Wear sunscreen every single day (even when it’s overcast!)
