Your body is a messaging system.

Sometimes those messages aren't comfortable; they aren't things you want to hear.

So you shut down. You ignore your body. You put it to the side. You bad mouth it in so many creative ways that you no longer realize what you are doing.

The thing is, its job isn't just about the pain, the discomfort, the awkwardness.

It's also about the pleasure of being here, now, in this body.

Which includes...
..bringing the enticing tingles that trail behind a gentle touch on the skin.
..creating delicious pathways along your tastebuds when you eat a juicy peach.
..feeling alive through the discovery of movement and all the ways you can interact with the outer world.
..bringing depth of longing and connection, of comfort and passion, through the emotions of sound.

(and that's just to name a few!)

When you shoot the messenger, disengaging from all that the body is telling you, you forget to feel all the pleasure it also brings.
