“A real apology isn’t about saying sorry on repeat. It’s about repair. 🌸

✨ Steps to Apologize Well:
1️⃣ Acknowledge the impact
2️⃣ Take responsibility (no buts, no excuses)
3️⃣ Say the actual words: I’m sorry
4️⃣ Offer repair
5️⃣ Show change with your actions

Apologies don’t erase the past — but they can change the future. 💕

👉 Which step do you find the hardest?”

Ever notice how often ‘sorry’ slips out of your mouth? 🙃‘Sorry for asking a question.’‘Sorry for being late by one minute.’‘Sorry for taking up space.’Here’s the thing: over-apologizing doesn’t make you kinder. It makes you smaller.✨ Why it works against you: 1. It teaches your brain you’re always wrong. 2. It weakens real apologies when they actually matter. 3. It puts you in charge of things that aren’t yours to carry.Apologies should be glue for relationships — not duct tape to cover up your existence.

I love anger!!!
Not the explosions, not the throat-punch urges (though relatable 😅), but the wisdom behind it.

💡 Anger is honest.
💡 Anger protects.
💡 Anger fuels change.

Instead of fearing it or stuffing it down, what if we saw anger as a map pointing us back to self-respect, boundaries, and action?

You are not wrong for resting.
You are not lazy for pausing.
You are not bad for saying “I need a break.”

If your brain screams guilt every time you slow down … that’s a glitch in the system, not a reflection of your worth.

✨ Update your inner software. Rest is part of the program.

The next time guilt shows up, try this filter:
– Is it pointing me toward a repair?
– Or is it telling me to rest?
Both deserve kindness. Neither deserves shame.

✨ Founded guilt is a growth tool.
✨ Unfounded guilt is a boundary cue.

You can feel guilt without building a home in it. 🏠

I struggle with a Condition called Sessional Depressive Disorder (SAD). This is where the amount of sunlight can impact one’s mood negatively. The low amount of sun brought on my fall and winter causes an individual to feel low mood, fatigue, oversleep and overeat. Alternately when daylight increases in spring and summer one can have symptoms of insomnia, restlessness and a decrease in appetite. In my case, I am most impacted by the loss of light, and this brings on feelings of dread when the sunsets become earlier and earlier in the day.

As I notice this dread shows up! I use this dread as data and shift into preparation mode. First, I started to change my environment which offers comfort; bringing out the fuzzy blankets and add indoor ambiance with lights and candles. Additionally, I bring out the sun lamp to simulate sunlight exposure which help alleviate symptoms. I become more mindful about getting sunlight exposure incorporating a routine of walking outside on my lunch break at least three times a week.

How are you preparing to help manage the season of darkness?
