Dating later isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about understanding yourself in relationship.

This is an invitation to Gen Xers (and beyond) who are doing their best to get back into the dating world — and don’t want to repeat old patterns.

I’m hosting a free Dating Later event on January 31 inside the Elevation Lounge.

This is about relational insight, not generic or outdated dating advice.

Men and women aren’t on opposite teams. They’re often missing the same skills.

Most people aren’t asking for too much. They’re asking for safety, effort, honesty, and consistency.

What makes dating later feel so frustrating isn’t a values mismatch.
It’s unmet capacity.

This isn’t a values gap.
It’s a skills gap.

Clarity changes how we relate.

Join me Jan 31 in the Elevation Lounge. Not for dating advice, but for relational insight. Link in bio.

Who you’d stop chasing?
What you’d stop explaining?
How quickly you’d notice misalignment?

At this stage of life, clarity isn’t boring.
It’s regulating.

And that’s kind of irresistible.

Dating Later? Come join me January 31! Link-in-bio.

Not dating advice. It’s about relational insight!

I’ve spent years listening to Gen X women talk honestly about relationships and I’VE wanted many of the same things myself.

What Gen X women tell me they want isn’t unreasonable or “too much.”

They want connection.
They want to carry less emotional labor. They want the mental load to feel shared…not silently managed.

Over time, I’ve learned something important: wanting these things isn’t wrong at all.

What is missing, most of the time, are the relational skills and frameworks that help people:

A) recognize who they can actually do this work with, and
B) communicate in ways that build understanding instead of resentment.

This is how quality relationships get built not through trying harder, but through clearer insight and better tools.

This isn’t dating advice.
It’s relational insight.

I’ve worked with Gen X men, many of them veterans, for over a decade.
They’ve taught me a thing or two, and honestly, they’ve challenged some of my early assumptions about what men want in relationships.

What I hear most consistently isn’t about control, avoidance, or emotional distance.

I hear this:

Men want peace.
Men want a teammate.
Men want to feel trusted, not being assessed or managed.

This lines up with what relationship research shows, too: trust, emotional safety, respect, and partnership are core needs for men, especially after life experience, loss, and relational burnout.

This looked very different from what I experienced in my own earlier relationships. And through teaching and listening, I learned two important things:

How to recognize the Gen X men who are actually looking for this kind of relationship.

How to support communication so these needs can be named, understood, and met without defensiveness or misunderstanding on either side.

That’s what the Elevation Lounge is about.

Dating later, with a new set of lenses.
Entering relationships with discernment, skill, and clarity not old patterns or chemistry chasing.

This isn’t dating advice.
It’s relational insight.

Gen X wasn’t taught how to be in long term partnerships. We were taught how to check boxes.

And when the boxes didn’t deliver what we were promised…we thought we failed.

We didn’t.
We were just never given the tools. Join the Elevation Lounge January 31st.

Over a decade working with the Canadian military and veteran community taught me this:

Mental health support matters
and relational skills are often where people feel stuck.

I kept hearing the same questions, especially from people dating later in life:
How do I start again?
How do I connect without losing myself?
How do I not repeat the same patterns? What most people don’t know is that this work became personal for me too.
I’ve had to learn, practice, and unlearn a lot in my own relationships.

Elevation Lounge is the space I created for that exact reason, to learn relational skills for dating later in life!

Our first Elevation Lounge starts January 31.

Lately, my work has been increasingly focused on what happens later in life
when experience changes how we love, relate, and choose.
