📣 It’s National and Manitoba Accessibility Awareness Week!

At Barrier-Free Manitoba, we’re shining a spotlight on accessibility – because when everyone can participate fully, everyone wins.

Accessibility isn't a special request – it's a human right. A right that is enshrined in the Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Manitobans Act!

Let’s work together to break down barriers and build an inclusive province where no one is left behind.

👉 Follow us all week to learn how accessibility benefits everyone.

What does stress have to do with the pelvic floor? A lot actually! 🤔

The pelvic floor muscles are powerful stress responders.
This means that they reflexively contract during moments of stress or threat (fight or flight response).
This is a normal, natural response!

Where we run into trouble is when this becomes a holding pattern. Chronic, elevated levels of stress can lead to pelvic floor muscle tightness.

Pelvic muscles that are too tense can result in pelvic pain, pain with s3x, low back pain, bladder issues, and more.

Stress management is an important component of pelvic floor health!

Even after c-section delivery!

Is this news to you? Who thought that pelvic floor issues only happen after v@ginal deliveries?
