Being a Myofunctional Therapist is not easy!

We work hard on helping our clients build a strong foundation of the orofacial muscles, getting the proper support in place for lip closure and ideal tongue posture, establish healthy breathing habits for nasal breathing day/night and bring balance and awareness for improved chewing/swallowing.

But I 💛 what we do!

✅ 1:1 support and guidance to our clients
✅ customized myofunctional therapy sessions
✅ elimination of oral habits and address oral dysfunctions
✅ support growth for healthy jaws and an open airway
✅ sleep hygiene to encourage deeper restorative sleep
✅ bring awareness to body alignment and postural balance
✅ improved mood regulations, focus/concentration
✅ establish healthy habits for nervous system regulation

Our passion for what we do inspires us to provide exceptional individualized care!

Your tongue has a home — and it’s not at the bottom of your mouth! 🏠👅

✨ Resting tongue posture:

- Tip of the tongue on the spot just behind your upper front teeth
- Tongue fully lifted and gently suctioned across the roof of the mouth
- Lips comfortably closed, breathing through the nose

Having the ideal tongue posture helps guide the proper growth and development of the jaw, provides support for the jaw at rest, encourages nasal breathing and deeper restorative sleep.

Did you know mouth breathing can impact facial and jaw growth, posture, sleep, mood regulations and even focus in school? 🌬️📚

When children breathe through their nose, it increases oxygen intake, filters the air they breathe, calms the nervous system and encourages ideal jaw and facial development.

If you’ve noticed your child has an open mouth posture and/or mouth breathing (especially during sleep), it’s worth checking in.

Looking for a natural energy boost without causing the jitters? Enjoying Matcha Tea during my lunch break is something I love to do!

Unlike coffee, which can cause energy crashes and jitters, matcha provides a sustained energy boost due to its unique combination of caffeine and L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes calm alertness. Matcha contains about 60-70 mg of caffeine per serving, compared to 95-200 mg in coffee.

Did you know?
Matcha is one of the most antioxidant-rich foods available, containing 137x more antioxidants than regular green tea. A daily cup of matcha green tea is a simple way to strengthen your immune system naturally.

Need help staying focused and alert? Matcha is known as a brain-boosting tea due to its high L-theanine content.
• L-theanine promotes alpha brain waves, leading to a state of relaxed focus.
• Increases dopamine and serotonin levels, improving mood and cognitive function.

Drinking matcha tea can help boost your metabolism, burn fat more efficiently and due to its high chlorophyll content, matcha is a natural detoxifier.
• Helps remove toxins and heavy metals from the body.
• Supports a healthy gut by promoting beneficial bacteria.
• Reduces bloating and supports gut health.

What Happens During a Myofunctional Therapy Evaluation?
Curious about starting myofunctional therapy? Here's what to expect at your first visit.

The first step is a comprehensive in-clinic evaluation at our Cambridge location. This 60-minute appointment includes a hands-on assessment and a thorough discussion of your health history, symptoms, and goals.

During the evaluation, we assess:
👅 Tongue posture and mobility
💬 Speech clarity and oral coordination
🌬️ Breathing patterns (nasal vs. mouth breathing)
🍽️ Swallowing function, chewing, and eating habits
🦷 Oral habits like thumb sucking or nail biting
📏 Facial structure, jaw alignment, and oral range of motion
🔍 We also screen for tethered oral tissues (tongue/lip ties) and refer as needed.

If therapy is indicated, we’ll provide a personalized plan outlining:
✔️ Treatment goals and structure
📆 Estimated duration
💰 Associated fees

✨ Ongoing therapy sessions are offered virtually, Monday through Friday — bringing support to you wherever you are.

It all starts with awareness — and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Kelly Hall, RDH - Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist

Hi, I’m Kelly

I am a dedicated, caring professional that embraces the natural health approach and whole body wellness.

I provide gentle thorough care by meeting individual needs and restoring patients health and wellness. I graduated with Honours in 2006 at the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene in Mississauga.

My journey to becoming a Myofunctional Therapist began when I became passionate about the strong connection between oral health and the connection to the body. As I started my myofunctional therapy training and began helping my patients I starting learning more about my own orofacial myofunctional symptoms. This is when I became increasingly interested in natural health and wellness. I wanted to understand the root cause of not only oral myofunctional problems, but poor health in general.
