CarePartners is pleased to be working with CBI Home Health and Victorian Order of Nurses - VON on a collaborative project bringing Ultrasound Guided (USG) technology for the insertion of peripheral IV catheters (PIVC) to home and community care and nursing clinics across Ontario. Using Ultrasound guided technology is an exciting step towards supporting evidenced-based practice placing peripheral catheter in all patients, but particularly in those who experience difficulty in peripheral IV starts.

Using this technology in nursing practice supports optimal home and community care in several ways, including improved start success rates, enhanced safety by minimizing hematomas and nerve injury, improved placement, and more accurate identification of veins in dehydrated patients.

We're proud to be bringing this service to Ontario patients, and together with CBI Home Health and VON, we'll be sharing further updates on this growing program in the coming weeks and months. Providing safe, quality care to patients is the top priority for home and community care providers and the addition of USG PIVC technology to our service delivery offerings displays this effort in action!

Established in 1984, CarePartners began as a home care nursing agency in Huron County, Ontario and has since grown into a company of over 4,500 employees. The CarePartners team is built upon highly qualified nurses, personal support, and rehabilitation service providers that provide the utmost top level and professional service to patients of Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) across Ontario. With 14 branches across Ontario, CarePartners is among the leaders within the health and home care industry.
