You have the power to enhance your life 💪🏼
How are you going to incorporate these steps to be the best version of yourself?
Are people solving the wrong problems in their life due to ignorance or because the real problems that need attention are too much to handle?
Is it that likes, income, affiliation, grandiose behaviour and more, deter us from solving the problem that will give us freedom and an improved state of mind?
In this episode we look at the infamous Tony Stark (Iron Man) to see where he would rather save the world than solve his own problems which appears to leave him rich, famous, powerful and also lonely, neurotic, and unhappy.
In pairing together this modern day Marvel character with the infamous Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow, I hope you enjoy this episode!

THE PROBLEM is that we are in denial. We think we don’t have enough.
We think we need more… more research, more meetings, more life hacks, more wifi, more connections, more money, more sweat, more hours worked. We have convinced ourselves amidst the anxiousness, fatigue and overstimulation that this way of living is a good thing and that more, is in fact better.
THE SOLUTION Stop and reflect. Mindfully and habitually get out of your own way.
Reflect on the story you have in your mind. Learn about the habits you have and why you have them. Leverage what innately motivates you. Retrain how you work, play and recharge. Free yourself from the strangle hold that modern day habits illicit. Give yourself the opportunity to live with a clear mind, a clear plan, and a clear set of values.
While chasing his NHL dream Ben sustained a serious head injury that almost took his life. After the injury Ben pushed the envelope training for two years. Defying the odds he returned to continue chasing his NHL dream. After training camp with the New York Rangers and his final season with the Kitchener Rangers Ben decided to chase something new, Heroic Minds.
Through coaching and sharing his story across Canada Ben realized there is a problem and the needs are not being met. Many people are dealing with subclinical issues that are stopping them from reaching their full potential. Issues such as; useless mental chatter, over-thinking, nervousness, brain-fog, dopamine craving, performance anxiety, de-motivation, emotional volatility, etc.
It is not realistic or sustainable to utilize “quick fixes” or “psychological hacks.”
We need to live in a way that enables us to leverage the three billions years of evolution engrained in our minds. Only then can we naturally turn down the chatter and turn up the action.
Through heroic stories on his podcast, philosophical tools and psychological tactics Ben delivers exactly how to get out of your own way and reach your full potential.
