Hello Friends!

I hope you have all been healthy and safe during these trying times. I am starting to slowly get back into the swing of things here. And I wanted to touch base with you all!

My job is all about contact....with horses (not their humans)

During this time of COVID-19 I am committed to maintaining safety and hygiene during my equine massage/acupressure sessions. This means providing contactless (human to human) sessions to keep everyone safe!

For the foreseeable future I will be implementing the following:

🐴 I will try to only schedule one or two farms/ facilities a day to limit cross contamination.
🐴 I ask that clients reschedule the appt if they are ill or believe they have been exposed to someone who is contagious with/has COVID-19
🐴 I ask that when possible the client maintain 6ft+ social distancing.
🐴I prefer for horses to be tied when ever possible.
🐴Session reports will be emailed to clients upon request
🐴 If you would like to pay cash please put exact change in envelope or ziploc. Otherwise e-transfers will be excepted.

Hygiene is important to me! In addition to the above procedures, my personal hygiene practices follow best practices for preventing disease spread:
🐴 I wear freshly washed clothing at each appointment
🐴 I wear clean and disinfected boots at each appointment
🐴 I disinfect all my equipment after each session.
🐴 I wash my hands before and after each session. Alcohol based (70%) hand-gel will be used as a substitute as needed.

I hope this reassures you that we can find ways to provide support to horses while maintaining a contact-less and safe space. Please reach out if I can help your horse!

This is a video Violet’s owner sent to me the day after our 3rd session. I’d say she’s feeling much better! 😂

I had the privilege of working on this sweet girl Violet, who had stopped eating. After a visit from the vet and some blood work, the vet discovered that she had colic and the blood test showed that she has a fatty liver. After several day of her not eating her owner called to ask if I would work on her. During the acupressure session I worked points to both help her stomach start moving again, as well as with trying to entice her to eat. I also used some massage techniques for colic relief. After the 1st session she passed a small amount of impacted stool but still refused to eat or drink. I returned the following day for a second colic treatment. We added herbs to soothe her digestive tract and her owner started syringe feeding her fruit and vegetable slurries to keep up her hydration and give her some nutrients. We also added another herbal remedy to help support and cleanse her liver. With a 48-hour break in between the 2nd and 3rd treatments, she was still very uncomfortable and straining to have a bowel movement. The day of the 3rd treatment she had gone 9 days without eating on her own and drinking very little. As I worked the acupressure points, I was able to hear her stomach start to really move and when I finished the session I listen again to her stomach and was hopeful that she would have a bowel movement. I left and two minutes down the road her owner text to tell me that she had! Who knew celebrating over p**p would be possible! I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with this little gal. It is important to have a strong team of people working together for the good of the animal. Because of the love and dedication of this owner, the blood work from the veterinarian and my ability to help stimulate her healing naturally with acupressure, this little girl is on the road to a full recovery.
