Biscuit update! 🍼🐑 Our first 12 days with our bottle lamb have been nothing short of amazing.

He was born a triplet and couldn’t be cared for on his home farm, so we were asked to raise this sweet little guy.

He arrived at just 6 lbs 9 oz — the exact same birth weight as me! 🥹
And now he’s already almost doubled his weight.

Biscuit has started visiting the rest of our flock, but honestly… he still seems convinced he’s part Border Collie and is constantly searching for our dog Indi. Luckily, she’s soaking up the attention and giving him all the gentle, mothering energy he needs. 🤍

Next week he’ll begin transitioning to barn life, but for now, these early days have been such a special chapter for our family — one we’ll never forget.

Meet Biscuit 🐑🤍

Day one with our bottle lamb was nothing short of amazing. 🍼🐑

As a homeschooling family, we couldn’t be more grateful for the chance to offer our kids—and ourselves—this kind of hands-on, heart-centered learning.

From feeding schedules and gentle handling to responsibility and patience, animal care brings lessons you simply can’t replicate from a book.

Watching our children slow down, tune in, and build trust with this tiny being has been incredibly rewarding.

The confidence they gain, the care they offer, and the bond forming before our eyes is exactly why we chose this way of learning and living.

Grateful for milky lips, early mornings, and the sweetest new farm addition. 🤍

Welcome to Sustainable Hill, Biscuit!

Thank you to everyone who shared name ideas—Gavin’s suggestion was the one that stuck and we couldn’t love it more.

Welcome to the farm, little one 🤍

We’re so excited to introduce our newest bottle baby — a 1-week-old Dorset lamb who has already stolen all of our hearts.

This baby was born as a tiny triplet at another farm and just wouldn’t have been able to make it in the barn. We were honoured to be asked to adopt him!

He’s a wether, meaning he won’t be able to breed and will grow into the calm, gentle soul we love so much about this breed.

This sweet boy will be raised with lots of love, cuddles, and connection, and we’re so happy to share that he’ll be part of our animal-assisted therapy sessions launching this Spring 🌿

He doesn’t have a name yet… and we’d love your help!

Last weekend at our retreat, something magical happened in the sauna. 🔥❄️

Some women had come alone.
Some had come with a friend.

And an honest, heart-opening conversation unfolded about what it means to choose either path.

Many of us admitted that coming alone can feel scary. Saying yes when you don’t know anyone. Walking into something new without a familiar face beside you. It can feel deeply uncomfortable… and yet, it can also be one of the most powerful ways to grow and come home to yourself.

Others shared how coming with a friend can be just as powerful. We lift each other up. We feel safer. We celebrate the wins together. 💛

And sometimes… we also hold ourselves back a little. We filter our truth. We worry about what the other might think.

Neither way is right or wrong.
Both hold their own kind of magic. ✨

So now I’m curious…
Would you rather retreat alone — or with a friend? Comment below.

We have just 6 spaces left for our next retreat:
🧶 Winter Wool & Wellness
📅 Saturday, February 28

Whether you come solo or hand-in-hand with a friend, you’ll be met exactly where you are. 🤍
