Mornings don’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
Before the world rushes in, take a few quiet moments to release yesterday… and gently clear any energy that isn’t your own.

You don’t have to carry everything you feel.
You can come back to yourself…
to calm…
to clarity…

How many times have you told yourself… “I’ll slow down when things settle…” or “I’ll take care of myself when everything else is done…”

But it never really gets done, does it? There’s always something…more mess… more noise… more life…
And somewhere in all of that… you get pushed to the side.
Reiki doesn’t ask you to have it all together. It meets you right here… in the middle of your real life. Tired. Overwhelmed. Healing. Trying.

This is your moment to stop waiting. To take 5 minutes… not because everything is perfect…
but because you matter too.

Come sit with me…
and just receive.

I was going to wait until my space felt more photo “ready”…
cleaned up, organized, a little more put together.
But Reiki doesn’t care if there are toys on the floor.
It doesn’t care if life looks a little messy.
So here I am—feet up, taking a moment anyway.
10 minutes of Reiki per day can change your life.
Reiki can calm anxiety and reveal your own light—to yourself and to others.
It can peel back layers of injury and allow you to release blocked energy.
Blocked energy can even affect the structure of fascia, leading to physical pain and inflammation. Often energy is the missing puzzle piece on one's health journey. Healing isn’t something outside of you—it begins the moment you turn inward.

You don’t need perfect conditions to begin.
You just need a moment.
Just do the Reiki.
Just do the meditation.

This is me in my reiki room, which doubles as my grand daughters play area. So it has great energy in here for thinking, healing, meditating and even playing. It’s one of my favorite places to be. My reiki bed is quite accidentally perfectly aligned with the north to south pole on the compass. I can assure you I was never that organized to do that on purpose; it's just a happy accident....or is it? 🤔 lol

But I digress...

Let’s talk about world events and reiki. Not specific events—we all see what’s going on. We’ve all gone down the rabbit holes, we’ve doom-scrolled at 3 a.m. when we were supposed to be sleeping, we’ve all been gutted by things we are seeing and hearing. We are all angry now.

But I want to talk about what comes next. Now that we know, now that we are angry, now what? I don’t know about you guys, but honestly, I feel a bit changed inside due to some of what I’ve seen and read.

Reiki is about finding inner peace. Actually, that’s all it’s about. Literally—inner peace. Being a single individual pillar of light. That’s the "big secret" to reiki.
But how does one feel okay finding inner peace while such things are happening in our world? Doesn’t it kind of feel selfish, or like we are burying our heads in the sand? It almost feels more justified to stay angry, to stay pessimistic and bitter.

But here’s the thing—when you hold space for those emotions on behalf of others, without exiting stage left of that angry energy, you will eventually become those things yourself.

Choosing inner peace is not withdrawal. It is the foundation of ethical and compassionate action. Read that again. 👆

The world is screaming for justice, boundaries, and courage. The tension is not a flaw—it’s where reiki becomes real.
We are taught that peace means “be calm, be nice, and above all, don’t rock the boat.” And I’ll say it—especially little girls are taught to “go along to get along.”
That is not inner peace. That is blind compliance.

Inner peace is more like: “I am so rooted in truth that I am not ruled by fear, hatred, or manipulation.”

That kind of peace is dangerous to corrupt and unjust systems—because it cannot be controlled by external powers. Another point to ponder when you get stuck: angry people are easily controlled. Fearful people are easy to manipulate. Guilty people are easy to silence.

Ever try to manipulate or push one of those “woo woo spiritual people”? 😉 They move when their truth tells them it’s right. And not a minute before. And I'm not talking about the self righteous gurus that sit in their power to judge, belittle and exploit human fear for massive profits...and we know who they are..🙄

Reiki was founded amidst great world unrest and suffering. It was never intended to make us passive. It was intended to make us informed, empowered and compassionate warriors of truth.

I could honestly talk for days about this…so thank you if you are still reading. 😬

Reiki meditation isn’t about suppressing our anger or ignorance. Reiki gives us a means of channeling that fury and frustration, allowing us to move through these emotions without letting them control our minds and actions.

Inner peace allows you to stay grounded while responding, rather than becoming hateful while reacting. Hate is hate, no matter what side you are on.

I am extremely passionate about healing the wounded ego and supporting justified anger so people can move through it, feel it and find solutions—without having it consume them and the world around us.

The idea that "peace" equals quiet, non-angry compliance is a patriarchal construct that has twisted people into submission.

Inner peace through reiki meditation is a way to reclaim balance and empowerment.

I am not a "fluffy" reiki master..
I will probably never be one. I will never try to lead you to believe I am perfectly healed and free of flaws. I swear an offensive amount, I eat junk food, I struggle with life sometimes...but also I am very good at reiki. A year ago I could not have said that about myself for fear of how I would be seen making such a bold statement about my own abilities. But here I am, healed a bit more this year than last year, moving forward with no apologies for taking space, despite every single flaw.

If this resonates with you, stay tuned to see what's next for this old girl..😉

A little “girly” share today… but also not so little.
For the past few years, I’ve been adding blonde to my hair.
And every time… it felt just a little off.
Like I was trying something on that never quite belonged to me.
A couple of weeks ago, I went back to my "natural" brown. 😉😉
And instantly — it felt like coming home.
It made me realize something…
I wasn’t lost these past few years. I was trying a different path. And sometimes, those paths lead you right back to yourself —with a little more understanding & a little more compassion.

Healing isn’t always about becoming someone new…
Sometimes it’s about honoring who you’ve been all along.

I’ve been thinking about offering regular community group Reiki sessions again 🤍

Quiet, supportive spaces where people can come to relax, reset, and just be still for a while.
As I begin to bring this to life, I’d love your input…

Do you know of any beautiful, calming spaces in the community that would be available to rent weekly?

Community centres, studios, halls—anywhere that feels peaceful and welcoming.
And if this is something you’d personally be interested in attending, feel free to let me know that too
I really believe these kinds of spaces matter… and I’d love to create one together.

Can I ask you something?

When was the last time you felt truly calm… like your whole body?
No fixing. No rushing. Just peace.

You don’t have to answer out loud—but notice what comes up

For me, it was Christmas Eve, after all the stores closed, the gifts were under the tree and I let go of the expectation of a sparkling clean house and realized, it is what it is. Just the lights, the tree, the calm.

It’s been a while since I’ve shown up here consistently … and I’ve missed this space.

Over the past year, I’ve taken time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters—both in my life and in my work going forward. I leaned hard into daily meditation while trying to sort things out. Sometimes the meditations were short quiet times in the bathtub, sometimes it was an hour while laying in bed fighting for sleep to come, and sometimes it was a moving meditation while driving with the radio on. (Not all meditations require still relaxing words. A repetitive task like driving on a familiar road is often calming or painting a wall for some people works too).

During that time, something became very clear to me.
In meditation one day I was feeling very small in the world, and very defeated, I asked what one single person could really do to make a difference in this world… especially thinking about the future for our children and grandchildren. I thought it was a rhetorical question I asked myself with cynical eye roll.🙄
To my surprise, guidance came on no uncertain terms; what came through from my Guides was this:
“Create pillars of light.” This message came through in a deep eho of a masculine voice so I knew it wasnt just me making something up in my head. At the same time I saw a vision of tiny lights all across the community that eventually zoomed out to show our globe lit up with beautiful little lights —each one small on its own, but together holding something much bigger.
That’s what I want to return here to create. Small pillars of light.

Not noise. Not pressure. Not spiritual jargon or nonsense. Not judgement.
Just space to breathe, connect, and reset.
The world can feel overwhelming, especially to Empaths, and so I’ll be gently sharing without alot drama—I'll be opening the door to community Reiki meditations for those who feel called. Nothing demanding. Something cost effective. Nothing complicated. Something lovely to look forward to. Just holding space for gentle stillness on a weekly basis.

If you’re still here… thank you 🤍
Welcome to my table.

There’s a noticeable shift in the energy. With the Aries Equinox, we start a new astrological year—making space for fresh starts, courage, and new beginnings.

And while Mercury has now gone direct, it’s important to honor what the retrograde offered us…

Mercury retrograde isn’t just about confusion or delays—it’s a sacred pause. A collective pause, even. A time to reflect, revisit, realign, release what no longer fits.

A retrograde asks us to slow down and listen more deeply—to ourselves, our intuition, and what’s been quietly trying to get our attention. Never before in our lifetime has it been more important to learn to trust our internal compass. We have basically given our power away to outside sources....tv, news, social media, influencers, governance, searching for wisdom outside ourself.

Now, as Mercury moves forward again, we carry those insights with us. The magic of this season is clarity after reflection, movement after stillness, alignment instead of forcing things.

You’re not starting from scratch—you’re starting from wisdom.

Trust the timing. YOU are the wisdom.

Most of my long time followers know that I took some time off after experiencing a pretty serious illness. Honestly, it’s taken me quite a while to process that chapter of my life. And some days I feel like I'm still processing. If you don't know, I had a significant brush with the other side, and someday I’ll share a video about the spiritual side of that experience — but not just yet.

Over the past year, I made a few attempts to return to my Reiki practice, but they were a few false starts. At those times, I felt more obligated than ready — driven by fear of losing clients and pressure from external expectations. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t perform well when I’m pushed before I’m truly ready. It must be that unmovable Ta**us energy.

I even thought that changing my business name might help create a fresh start, but Facebook had other plans and wouldn’t allow the change. In the end, it brought me full circle back to my original name, which I’m actually very grateful for, because True North still resonates deeply within me.

And while we’re never completely ready for new expansion, I finally feel aligned again, and ready to reawaken my professional reiki practice & this page. This time, there’s no fear, no obligation, and no pressure.

My internal compass is quietly and clearly saying: it’s time.
