This is me in my reiki room, which doubles as my grand daughters play area. So it has great energy in here for thinking, healing, meditating and even playing. It’s one of my favorite places to be. My reiki bed is quite accidentally perfectly aligned with the north to south pole on the compass. I can assure you I was never that organized to do that on purpose; it's just a happy accident....or is it? 🤔 lol
But I digress...
Let’s talk about world events and reiki. Not specific events—we all see what’s going on. We’ve all gone down the rabbit holes, we’ve doom-scrolled at 3 a.m. when we were supposed to be sleeping, we’ve all been gutted by things we are seeing and hearing. We are all angry now.
But I want to talk about what comes next. Now that we know, now that we are angry, now what? I don’t know about you guys, but honestly, I feel a bit changed inside due to some of what I’ve seen and read.
Reiki is about finding inner peace. Actually, that’s all it’s about. Literally—inner peace. Being a single individual pillar of light. That’s the "big secret" to reiki.
But how does one feel okay finding inner peace while such things are happening in our world? Doesn’t it kind of feel selfish, or like we are burying our heads in the sand? It almost feels more justified to stay angry, to stay pessimistic and bitter.
But here’s the thing—when you hold space for those emotions on behalf of others, without exiting stage left of that angry energy, you will eventually become those things yourself.
Choosing inner peace is not withdrawal. It is the foundation of ethical and compassionate action. Read that again. 👆
The world is screaming for justice, boundaries, and courage. The tension is not a flaw—it’s where reiki becomes real.
We are taught that peace means “be calm, be nice, and above all, don’t rock the boat.” And I’ll say it—especially little girls are taught to “go along to get along.”
That is not inner peace. That is blind compliance.
Inner peace is more like: “I am so rooted in truth that I am not ruled by fear, hatred, or manipulation.”
That kind of peace is dangerous to corrupt and unjust systems—because it cannot be controlled by external powers. Another point to ponder when you get stuck: angry people are easily controlled. Fearful people are easy to manipulate. Guilty people are easy to silence.
Ever try to manipulate or push one of those “woo woo spiritual people”? 😉 They move when their truth tells them it’s right. And not a minute before. And I'm not talking about the self righteous gurus that sit in their power to judge, belittle and exploit human fear for massive profits...and we know who they are..🙄
Reiki was founded amidst great world unrest and suffering. It was never intended to make us passive. It was intended to make us informed, empowered and compassionate warriors of truth.
I could honestly talk for days about this…so thank you if you are still reading. 😬
Reiki meditation isn’t about suppressing our anger or ignorance. Reiki gives us a means of channeling that fury and frustration, allowing us to move through these emotions without letting them control our minds and actions.
Inner peace allows you to stay grounded while responding, rather than becoming hateful while reacting. Hate is hate, no matter what side you are on.
I am extremely passionate about healing the wounded ego and supporting justified anger so people can move through it, feel it and find solutions—without having it consume them and the world around us.
The idea that "peace" equals quiet, non-angry compliance is a patriarchal construct that has twisted people into submission.
Inner peace through reiki meditation is a way to reclaim balance and empowerment.
I am not a "fluffy" reiki master..
I will probably never be one. I will never try to lead you to believe I am perfectly healed and free of flaws. I swear an offensive amount, I eat junk food, I struggle with life sometimes...but also I am very good at reiki. A year ago I could not have said that about myself for fear of how I would be seen making such a bold statement about my own abilities. But here I am, healed a bit more this year than last year, moving forward with no apologies for taking space, despite every single flaw.
If this resonates with you, stay tuned to see what's next for this old girl..😉
