  💙 Physiotherapy Assistance provides financial support for residents who qualify and are recovering from an injury.

✅ Qualified residents receive 6 subsidized one-on-one physiotherapy sessions to aid recovery after:  🤕 Injury  👶 Childbirth  🧠 Concussion

Focus group on Aging in Whistler – Dec. 5th & 6th – Whistler Public Library

Where do you want to live as you age in Whistler? With so many different types of housing and health care geared to the seniors population what do the people of Whistler want and need?

Join us and engage as we discuss with experts how to effectively deal with an aging population.

Share your views and ask your questions at one of the following events:

Friday, December 5th at 1:00 pm or Saturday, December 6th at 10:15 am at the Whistler Public Library.

PLEASE SHARE: The Extreme Weather Shelter will be OPEN overnight Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29, from 6pm to 8am.

Want to know when our Extreme Weather Shelter is open? Sign up for TEXT alerts! Text EWR to 604-902-0476.

📍WHERE: Whistler Community Services Society (8000 Nesters Road, Whistler)

⏰WHEN: the shelter will be open from 6pm - 8am NIGHTLY if the following conditions are met:

- Temperatures are -10 degrees Celsius or below, OR
- Temperatures are 0 degrees Celsius WITH adverse weather conditions (heavy rain or snowfall, etc.)

Our shelter is WEATHER DEPENDANT! WCSS uses data from Environment Canada to determine open hours. Follow us on social media for the latest updates on open hours.

🙋WHO: All those living in precarious housing situations (vehicle, tent, outdoors, unheated dwelling, etc.) are welcome! No personal identification required.

❓WHAT: Cots, sleeping bags, pillows, warm food and beverages provided. Support Workers on site at all times. Free parking.

We are very proud to announce a two-year, $100,000 commitment to support Outreach Programs — providing $50,000 per year to help meet the growing need for mental health and social support services in our community.

Funded by the 2024 Hike for Health, this contribution will help sustain essential counselling and outreach programs that many Whistler residents rely on during times of mental health, housing, or financial challenges.

What an incredible day on the trails! 💚

We’re still buzzing from yesterday. Incredibly proud of our community for showing up and supporting such an important cause! Together, we raised $132,379, which will go directly towards improving services at the Whistler Health Care Centre 💛
