I ❤️ Lisbon

A quick 12 hour turn around in Lisbon to swap out my winter weather clothing for light weight airy clothes for my next adventure.

My hotel in Rossio had an incredible view of the Castle of St Jorge and a perfect back drop for a night of self care.

My last night in Norway after 5 weeks exploring the country.

It’s the 2nd country I’ve visited in 2026 and trip I’ve always remember,

I took 3 photography workshops and have many amazing pictures of the Aurora. I came with only a carry on suitcase which is now full of Norwegian wool clothes and photography gear including a new vintage analogue camera.

I’ll post more of my favourite photos soon. What a great way to start 2026.

The Aurora never fails to impress. Last night I was locked out of my cabin and while waiting to get in the Aurora danced in the sky above me.

The day was filled was strong snow and storming weather then the night cleared up to showcase the beautiful northern lights.

I sip on a decant hot chocolate, as I reflect on a day that was filled with surprises. I was lucky to catch reindeer racing where jockeys competed for the Norwegian title. I didn’t even know that was a thing and the reindeer were so cute.

Later past midnight, I caught the Super Bowl live in a pub with 11 fans who stayed up until 4:30am! The bar included 11 people with staff who were there to watch the game and of course of Bad Bunny.

Half of the crowd was Mexican and Tequila shots were flowing,. Mexicans are always good vibes. Since I don’t drink, I enjoyed a cup of tea and the company.

I have been in Norway fora month now and this was a new and unexpected experience for me. The journey continues as I head into another photography workshop today and spend time with the Aurora.

Reinvention

Giving birth to a part of yourself that has been patiently waiting to express itself.

Photography has been a passion of mine and I’ve gotten back at it after 15 years. My new muse is the Aurora.

I am in Norway enjoying its beauty and was lucky to be in Tromso the Aurora capital for the 2 most active days in decades. It was spectacular. I watched the sky explode with Aurora fireworks for 10 hours straight and got home at 5am. What a magical experience.

I started a new journey analogue and the dark room. I spontaneously found a cool analogue camera store in Bergen and bought my first analogue camera from the collector Antonia Stasi.

It’s been a great beginning of getting back into one of my favourite creative hobbies.
