‼️Important update for any AAC users using TD SNAP…

I appreciate the heads up from Tobii Dynavox about the next update coming for TD Snap. They shared this in their Tobii Dynavox® Community group on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 about the 1.36.1 update scheduled for June 12, 2025: https://www.facebook.com/groups/tobiidynavoxcommunity/posts/24256099197329134/

It says the following:

“Hi TD Community,

We wanted to give you advance notice that we will be releasing a new version of TD Snap, 1.36.1, on June 12, 2025 for both Windows and iPadOS. This update addresses a couple of issues that have been reported since our last release.

For users with Guided Access and Automatic Updates Enabled: Please be informed that while updating to the TD Snap 1.36.1 version, if Guided Access is already turned on and automatic app updates are enabled, a pre-existing Apple bug can cause your iPad to become unresponsive. Your device may appear frozen and require a hard reset to recover. This issue is on Apple’s end and will persist until they release a fix. We recommend reviewing the steps outlined in this support article so you are prepared:

Please note that users that do not use Guided Access will not face this issue.

Here is a summary of what’s included in the release:

• For users with custom keyboards and recordings: This update will resolve issues of losing recordings on custom-built keyboard buttons when building words. After the update, selecting a keyboard button with a recording or sound will play the file as usual.

• For German Core First users: This update will resolve an issue in the German and Swiss German Core First page sets (PCS and METACOM) where the alphabetical link buttons on the ABC pages are speaking and inserting text into the Message Window when they should only speak.
