Period pain sucks. I remember having periods so painful I felt dizzy and had to stay home from school as a teenager.
Periods so painful not even the extra strength over-the-counter pain meds would touch it.
Until I found herbs.
Let me share 3 of my favourite herbs for painful periods! They’ve made a world of difference for me, and they can for you too.
1️⃣ Cramp Bark
💚 Uterine tonic
💚 Uterine antispasmodic: relaxes cramps and spasms
💚 Potentially useful in conditions such as amenorrhea, menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, bladder spasms
💚 Chronic pelvic pain, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, irritable uterus or bladder
2️⃣ Ginger
💚 Highly anti-inflammatory
💚 Antispasmodic
💚 Digestive stimulant
💚 Warming pelvic circulatory stimulant
💚 Making it potentially supportive to: Endometriosis, Amenorrhea, Dysmenorrhea, Headache, nausea/indigestion, and Uterine fibroids
3️⃣ Black Cohosh
💚 Supports the relief of uterine spasms and cramping.
💚 A hormonal modulating herb that may regulate estrogen in some circumstances.
💚 Promotes the reduction of anxiety & insomnia through serotonin pathways
You’ll find all 3 of these inside my Period Pain Tincture, with the Ginger and Cramp Bark also featured in my popular Cramp Tea!
