Catharine Scott Designs Artisan Jewelery - Completely unique & one of a kind - handmade with love & a passionate mind Handcrafted jewelry has always been my passion.

I have been a stay at home mom since 2009; I realized that I had not just a love for creating jewelry, but a passion. I believe everyone deserves to wear a touch of elegance every day and self-expression should be coated in colour, sparkle and uniqueness. Every piece of artisan jewelry is individually crafted using a variety of different materials and designs from wire wrappings, healing stones, silver chain and sometimes using my own creative style of stringing. The pieces I offer are original, unique and mostly one-of-a-kind. My goal is to create affordable, quality jewelry and my inspiration comes from vibrant colours and textures of the highest quality that I can find or make.

Wanted to thank everyone who came out to the Studio Tour on Sept 20 & 21. One of my customers sent me a personal thank you expressing how much she loves the bracelet she bought and sent this Pic! It is a copper and Cracked Fire Agate stones. She captioned it "really happy with my purchase!"

See you all next year! Thank you again.

Nina Sampaleanu
New to the Tour this year!
Born in Romania, Nina discovered her passion for art once she moved to Canada. A graduate of the Ryerson University Photography program, Nina started her career working mainly in mixed media—using wax, wood, metal, paper, and other materials. Her aim was to showcase movement, transparency, suggestive projections, all adding up to a multitude of visual and emotional effects. Each individual element, although it has its own substance and character, becomes a whole only when surrounded by others. Together they tell a story.
Since 2022 Nina has been playing with clay, working in a ceramic studio in Toronto. Her pottery work explores themes of destruction and fragility, of strength and materiality.

Finished this Great Horned Owl this morning! Burned on a nice slab of basswood. Was a tedious process but I love the way it turned out. This little guy will be available at the Apsley Autumn Studio Tour on September 20th and 21st!

Finished this one on walnut - "Breath of the Wild"
I wanted to create more of a collage style of burn, featuring a variety of species rather than just one! Includes a moose, lynx, gray wolf, whitetail deer, and a brown bear!

Will be available at the Apsley Autumn Studio Tour on the 20th and 21st of September!

It's been a busy summer having way too much fun. Studio Tour is next month... I best curtail the fun and start getting focused!
